Different from your typical Thai restaurant 7/3/2006

Wonder Spice Cafe is a treat for me whenever I'm back in the Boston area. I have always been a fan of Brown Sugar Cafe, but I find Wonder Spice to be more authentic in its offerings, plus I enjoy the addition of Cambodian cuisine. Wonder Spice does all the Thai favorites very nicely; you can count on their Pad Thai, their curries, etc., to be delicious. Every time I go there, I try to be adventurous and try some of the lesser known menu items. The prices are not cheap, by any means, but I justify eating here since I'm not in the area as often as I used to be. more

Good Cambodian/Thai food, but a bit pricey 8/17/2005

The food here is great. Pad Thai quite good, as is house fried rice, chicken satay, golden triangles, and pretty much everything. Service is efficient and friendly. Nice garden seating outside. Gets very crowded. Only drawback is prices -- about 20 - 30 % too high for this neighborhood. Also, an odd stinginess with extra containers for take-out. On more than one occasion, I've been challenged on asking for an extra metal container for take-out food -- this on orders of at least 20 dollars. Each time the woman says "don't tell my boss" as if she's giving me the crown jewels. more

The only Thai I enjoy! 7/21/2005

Wonder Spice Café is one of the only Thai restaurants that I will eat at! I have a general distrust of Thai, as the fish sauce makes me ill. But Wonder Spice is truly vegetarian friendly, and the food is great. It’s a mix of Vietnamese, Cambodian, Thai and more, and there is something to please nearly everyone on the menu. The service is great and the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. They do takeout, so when it is too crowded you can always get take away. The food is delicious and nicely presented. more
