Women's Group of Gwinnett

Dr. Falkner performed my c-section with my first son. After the surgery she told me while in recovery and still out out it that she had burned my stomach during surgery. When I finally saw what she burned I felt horrified. 3 inches above my c-section scar was a burnt hole in my stomach that she had cause. Dr. Falkner never gave me an explanation to what happened. After reading my file I learned that she dropped a bovie cautery surgical instrument on my stomach. During my post op visit she told me to put diaper rash cream on the burn. The wound got infected, because it kept trying to heal and form a scab onto my underwear. Whenever I had to take a shower, or use the toilet that forming scab would get ripped off. It was a very painful experience. Being a new mother, having to heal from major stomach surgery, and on top of all that I had an infected hole in my stomach. more

I had a wonderful experience here when I had my last child- Dr. Smith also delivered mine, as I was hoping she would as soon as I met her. All doctors had excellent bedside manner and were wonderful about explaining things to me whenever my husband or I had questions. (Dr. Grillo, however, isn't my cup of tea. It's a love/hate relationship.) Dr. Smith and Dr. Haberstroh are particularly great at what they do. Pros: knowledgable, professional, caring more

I'm very pleased with Women's Group of Gwinnett. I had my last child with them - Dr Smith delivered. All the doctors were very nice and professional, yet also friendly - not cold. The whole experience with the pregnancy and birth was as perfect as could be. I am not expecting again and so far, they have given me everything I expected and more. They always ask how I'm feeling, if I have anything I want to discuss with them, etc. Also, they do not make me feel stupid for asking questions that I'm sure they have heard thousands of times. :) Even if you live out of the Snellville are - I'd say coming to Women's Group of Gwinnett is well worth the drive! PS Eastside Medical Center was a wonderful place to give birth as well, everything looks pretty new and the rooms are nice and big. :) Pros: Too many to list! Cons: None so far! more
