This place looks nice. You've got Wolfgang on the tele showing you how to make delicious food. But I doubt he's eaten here. I've tried a few things hoping that one would change my mind. Nothing is worth the money. Overpriced, hiding behind a by a good name. Bland, greasy, pre-prepared, probably frozen. Everything tastes old and slightly like cardboard. And I'm not exaggerating. I'm not giving it any more shots. Bleh. Pros: Nice, clean restaurant. Mostly friendly staff. Quick. Cons: Bad food. more

Glorified fast food 11/5/2008

I agree with previous reviews that the fast food version of Wolfgang Puck is both overrated and overpriced. I cant seriously imagine him actually eating here, as its primarily prepared, frozen food, with prices of ~10 $ per entree. Would have been a deal if the quality was decent, but frozen, prepared pizza dough resulted in the "spicy chicken" pizza having a mushy, tasteless crust and cheese with the consistency of rubber, along with rubbery, frozen-and-reheated chicken "chunks" and enough red pepper flakes to just barely mask the flavorless ingredients. (Sad, as I could have just gone to Mellow Mushroom down the street and paid less for real pizza!) We also ordered a penne pasta that was supposed to have procuitto and peas. The procuitto was either of the cooking variety or more likely, was just a cheaper ham, as it was also the consistency of rubber and the sauce was flavorless. Fairly similar to a microwavable dinner in terms of taste and quality, but certainly not worth the price tag. Bottom line: if you want quality, express food, stick to the prepared section at Whole Foods! Pros: secent selection; sounds good on the menu Cons: low-quality for the price more

Okay, let's figure this out. Great location, good aprking and in the center of it all, but the food is just so, so. More like a food court experience with better digs. I am a fan or was of Wolfgang. He started the whole Calif pizza deal, but this is just not up to my version of what he is , was or should be. Stick to the original Spago. more

I have been going here for years! They treat regulars like gold. I truly think this is one of the very best managed teams I have ever had the pleasure to dine with. Ceasar and Team are diligently focused on making your experience a fantastic one. Everything is consistently above the mark and that is such a relief after a hard day to know that I will get exactly what I expect (and that is alot and they deliver). I always leave with a smile! Pros: fast, fresh, healthy, high quality - Outstanding service Cons: none more

No! This Is Not Spago! 7/24/2006

We're really glad Wolfgang opened his express concept in our neighborhood. The individual personal pizza's are good. Especially the Margheriata Pizza. Avoid everything else on the menu. It either tastes like it was frozen, or made way in advance. We sit at the counter, facing the open kitchen, and there is constant conflict between the employees. At least that is entertaining. Come on Wolfgang, bring a Spago to Atlanta. Pros: Above Average Pizza's, Location, Parking! Cons: Limited Menu, Scattered Kitchen Staff! more

We stopped in here as we were driving down peachtree and unable to decide on what to eat. I was pleasantly suprised at everything. I expected high priced, snobby, etc. I got none of the above. The kids were welcomed, our meal was prompt and delicious. 33.00 for 2 adultsna d2 kids. We left full. Pros: Great food, great prices. Cons: Not so comfortable chairs, very modern, crisp more

Good counter eatery... 5/20/2006

Overall, I recommed Wolfgang Puck's Express. Of the new genre of counter eateries, this is one the better ones. The prices are very affordable. All dishes range from $6 to $12. We tried two dishes: the Pumpkin Ravioli and the Margherita Pizza. Both were exquisite. Both were marked as "specialties" on the menu. I've had a few other things on the menu that weren't very good, so I would stick to these or maybe other specialites. A colorful, European interior with open kitchen creates a pleasant atmosphere. Our service was very good. We ordered to go, and the food took 10 minutes, packaged flawlessly, with everything needed to eat included. Wolf's is a great value. Portions are not overwhelming, but you'll be full at the end. It was surprising that the pasta was served with no sides or bread. We spent less than $20 and had a great meal. Pros: Inexpensive, Great food, Easy parking Cons: No sides some dishes more

My boyfriend and I went there on our visit to Atlanta and the food was excellent and at a great price! We later tried the upscale restaurants and we regret that we did not return to Wolfgang Puck's Express instead. Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive, Fast more

Come On Puck 7/29/2004

I was excited to try this place and unfortunately I was excited for nothing. I went and the food was decent but a little overpriced for ordering from a counter. I felt the menu descriptions were a little off as well (They made the chicken pesto sandwich seem like it was served hot, not chicken salad). They need a "real" Wolfgang and Pucks restaurant in Atlanta, none of this "express" nonsense. more

the parking is great, but that's it... the attitidue was way too snobby for a "fast food" restaurant. and i don't want to pay $25 for lunch (w/o drinks) when my meal is served with paper napkins... puck should either stick to high-priced meals in a nice atmosphere, or stick to fast-food style prices in a fast-food style atmosphere. tried it once, but won't go again. Pros: parking, good selection, quality food Cons: , too expensive more

Poor service, poor food 1/1/2004

Nothing went right on my first and last visit to this restaurant. After waiting for my food for over 15 minutes, they told me they were out of that dish. 10 minutes later, I was able to order a substitute. After this didn't arrive, I asked the manager about the trouble, and he told me that they were not actually out of the first dish. Once I finally did get my rotisserie chicken, I wished I had gone to Publix next door to pick up dinner there. more

It has a great location on Peachtree for the Midtown/South Buckhead area. It was very solid food but surprisingly bland. The asian chicken salad was akin to a large bowl of cole slaw. more

Not Impressed 12/2/2003

Ok, I'm not here to criticize, I've seen his show, I've actually cooked food I saw on them, but I've also been to the restraunt based on the show and I am frankly -see title-. My first time there I had a salad. It was one of those "speciality" salads, a Wolfgang original, with a name by the time you pay for it you've forgotten its name. It was pretty much cole slaw with chicken. Not something I would expect from a national TV star. Bland, unexciting. But I thought to myself that a second chance was in order. So a couple of weeks later...the tuna sandwich. Still no spark! Sorry Wolfy, I'm not about to spend another ten dollars on something that's let me down twice. Though you do have Pellagrino, it's just not enough. It's sad to say that for me there will be no third time. more
