My experience was tremendous..Dr.Wingo was very funny and professional the only bad thing i had to say was i felt rushed some of the time but i also understand he sees 1000 pregnant women and to be a man im sure it gets old ... at first they thought my child had alot wrong with him..i went over to Dr. juante Phillips for a ultrasound and the ultrasound tech had the nerve to tell me that i should abort my baby b/c it would come out with alot of problems and be mentally retarted Dr juante told me the same thing to . thank God i didnt ..i called beth 3 days after my apt to find out that everything was healthy with my child she sat and talked with me for 45 min calming me down and called the next day she called to check on me... back to dr wingo he let my husband deliever my son when i started pushing he told him to come put one hand here and the other there and told me to push and that was the coolest thing to my husband ever that he got to deliever him he still brags about it ... dr wingo was very compassionate and cares alot about his patient phone calls were retured and showed concern all around he was a excellent dr.and you dont have to wait long in the waiting room ..but be aware of the ultrasound tech they think they know so much so dont believe everything they tell you more

He is a wonderful, very competent dr. He has a sense of humor, which is great. He will answer any question that you ask and no question is too silly. He really puts you at ease and you don't feel self conscious at all. I had a c-section with my son, and he was absolutely wonderful. The whole procedure from the time I went in, until my son was born took 20 min. I would highly recommend Dr. Wingo and nurse Beth! more

Dr Wingo was ok. Not super by any means. I am not rich and am barley getting by . For 6 months I supported 3 people on a one person income after my sons birth. I made small payments when I could. I was told by the doc I needed to come back after 2 mo. for a copo due to an abnormal papsmear when I was pregnant. I scheduled and cancelled the appointment 2 times because I could not afford the copay of $50. On the 2nd cancellation the accounting manager spoke to me like I was worthless. The last payment I had made was a $5.00 check just so they would know I was trying. When she asked me about the payment she said word for word "" The last payment was only $5. Now is that the best we can do?"" I then explained my situation and added that rent,food,and electricity come first and if I had any money left that is what I send. I tried one more time to go back for my copo. Again I can barley afford the copay. I called the day before to verify my appointment time. When I asked, the lady on the phone said the accounts manager had cancelled my appointment because of a past due account. Now ,I have something medically wrong with me. We all know an abnormal pap smear could mean cancer or many other things. She said I needed to speak with the manager and I refused and told her how she spoke to me the last time. I also said to tell her I would send money when I could after all my other bills. Pros: good at what he does Cons: accounting staff are VERY unprofessional more

Here is a Doctor that cares for his patients. He always listens when you have a question...even the silliest of questions. Dr. Wingo will always give you the time you need to ask all the questions in the world. I never felt like he thought I was waisting his time. Even my husband thinks that this man walks on water. He is a true professional.....I could go on and on... more

I've written a review here once before (see tngrit review below). I felt so comfortable after seeing Dr. Wingo that I did what I thought I'd never do and decided to have a baby! I had always been so scared of going to the GYNO, I knew I'd never be able to make it through 9 months of appointments. Dr. Wingo and his nurse Beth are two of the most caring individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They made my husband and I, as first time parents, feel at ease. We never felt rushed during our visits and no question was ever too dumb. Dr. Wingo really listens to what you have to say and when my husband accompanied me to every appointment he always found ways to make him feel included. I was 2 weeks late and had to be induced and my delivery was still so easy. Dr. Wingo was just as great in the delivery room as he is in his office. He was calm and sweet to us when we were a nervous wreck. He made sure I got my epidural as soon as I needed it and I didn't feel a thing during my delivery. I would recommend him to any friend or family member and if we decide to have another baby we will definitely deliver with him! He and his office staff made us feel like family instead of just patients. Pros: Everything! Cons: Absolutely None! more

When I moved here 10 years ago, my mother-in-law recommended Dr. Carl to me. He is the OB/GYN for all of the women in my husband's family and we always recommend him to our female friends if they decide to shop around for a new doc. Pros: Everything! Cons: None that I can think of more

Dr. Wingo is a wonderful individual with a caring and intelligent staff! I am pregnant with my third child, though it feels like the first because my other two are much older. A lot has changed in the last 10+ years. Dr. Wingo and his nurse Beth, along with their terrific staff, put me right at ease. Going to my office visits is like going to see old friends. My husband and I feel safe in the environment that they have created. It is very reasuring to be able to ask any question--that no topics are taboo or off-limits--and be answered in an intelligent and caring manner. How BLESSED we are to be able to have Dr. Wingo as our caregiver. My sister-in-law has had 5 children using Dr. Wingo's services and all are healthy and developing very well. I know our daughter and I are in extremely capable hands with Dr. Wingo and his staff. He is an amazing man, full of caring compassion and always attentive to my every concern. I am blessed to be under the care of a doctor who is always up to date on the best and latest diagnosis. He always makes me feel cared for--and with him, I am very well cared for! I trust him and his staff with my life and feel completely safe in his care. Thank you, Doc! Ya'll rock! Highly recommend this office! Really excellent folks! I have never had an ob/gyn - I always saw a general practitioner. So, for my pregnancy, I decided on an ob/gyn some women at work saw. After the first 2 visits I knew I wasn't comfortable with the care I was receiving and didn't trust my doctor. I saw online Dr. Wingo's great reviews, so I decided to switch to him at 5 months. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

I knew I'd love him the first time I met him where he introduced himself and then said, ""I know this isn't your favorite place to be, so I'll try to make this as quick and comfortable as possible."" He was true to his word. He sits down with you before the exam and talks with you. He allows plenty of time for questions. He's got a great sense of humor and is a wonderful doctor. I have two beautiful children that he helped to bring into this world. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Pros: Great OBGYN, easy to make appointments, both he and the nurses are easily available Cons: Nada! more

I had to have surgery fast and he put me at ease. The surgery went very well and I am very pleased with Dr. Wingo and his entire staff. Everyone was great to me. My tears and fears were eased. Thank you, Dr. Wingo. more

Dr. Wingo speaks to you BEFORE your pelvic exam with your clothes ON, a sign of respect and treating the patient with dignity. I have only had one other ob/gyn that did that...and after him I knew I would never see another one that did not. He also talked to me afterwards and asked if I had any questions. Both times (the before w/clothes and the after) I felt that I could have talked to him 20 minutes and he wouldn't have rushed me...another rarity w/a physician...w/most I feel their clocks are ticking. You won't be sorry if you choose him for your gyn care. more

I would rather have a root canal without anesthesia than to go in for a yearly gyno check-up. Having tried at least 5 different practices with unsatisfactory results, I was referred to Dr. Wingo's office by another medical professional after sharing my story with her. She sees him herself and assured me he was different. Dr. Wingo put all my fears to rest about coming to my first male gyno as well. He was kind and humorous, answered all my questions without making me feel like I was an idiot, and best of all he was quick and to the point. The dreaded pap test was also painless for the first time, in the 12 years I have gotten one! I am usually in tears the day of my yearly check-up because of this but I will never be afraid of going to the gyno again. Please give Dr. Wingo a try, he is a genius at what he does. Dr. Wingo is a very nice physician. He has a very professional manner, and is pretty relaxed about most things. He always lets me ask as many questions as I want, and he explains things to me in terms I can understand. He doesn't waste any time-he gets things done quickly and efficiently, and most of my visits are in and out. more

I was hesitant about going to a male OB for delivery of my first child, but I loved Dr. Wingo from the first time I met him. I transferred in at 35 weeks and he took great care to review my records and give me the best care possible. He made me very comfortable and he was so personable. I am a physician as well, so my standards are high and he met them beyond expectation. I would highly recommend him. more

I would (and do) highly recommened Dr. Wingo to anyone planning to have a baby. He has a great bedside manner during all your visits. He is willing to sit and talk any time you need to. I had my son (first child) in 2002 so of course I had a lot of questions. He, nor his nurse, had any problems answering even the dumbest questions. They were quick to get back to me even if I had to leave a message. I would highly recommened him to anyone during their pregnancy or even for a yearly exam. He is great!!!!
