HORRID customer service. My neighbor has dealt with a rude guy, they've let service people in unannounced, and Robert Winger is completely unprofessional. He called me a year and a half ago - I had NEVER talked to him before or even heard of him. He didn't identify himself as being from Whisler, he only said his name, so I thought he was a telemarketer. I thought he asked me how my job was, so I said fine. Then he said, ""Yeah, this is your landlord, you're not supposed to have a dog."" So I guess he thought that I had a dog (because my bf at the time had a dog and would stay over a lot at my place and bring her along). I said that I didn't have a dog, and he insisted that I did. ""Yes you do! You have a big dog! And you have a bf that lives there with you too!"" Neither of these facts were true, and I denied them. I said, ""I don't know who you are or why you're calling, but I'm hanging up now."" Because, really, I didn't know if he was whom he claimed to to be - and calling a single woman up like that asking if she has a dog and bf that live with her makes YOU sound like a weird stalking creep that's casing her home to break in and attack her. It gets even better because I called Whisler the next day and said someone by that name called claiming to be from them, and they put me on the phone again with Robert. I said that someone had called me from his number yesterday claiming to be him, and he said, ""Oh yes, I remember you - you were the rude one."" I said, ""EXCUSE ME? You called me up out of the blue and started asking all kinds of questions about my personal life!"" Robert then started yelling at me, ""Why don't you just move? Why don't you just move?"" So I told him to talk to my family's attorney, because my parents co-signed on my lease AND used to be landlords themselves when they lived in CA. He kept babbling about how I should just move, blah blah, and then I hung up on him again. I also made a complaint about someone named Joey to the OWNER of the company - Mark Whisler - because he was extremely rude to me on the phone, and Mr. Whisler sent me an email saying ""This is a Health and Safety issue and you must provide access. I'm sure Joey was frustrated as his goal is to solve this immediate Health and Safety problem."" That's really funny because they sure didn't seem to care about fixing my neighbor's shower which got backed up with sewage and he couldn't shower for several days!!! I also did NOT deny access to my apartment, I let the plumbers in twice before to inspect for their estimates - I just didn't call this Joey guy back until the next day because I was busy. I'm a reporter and rely on people calling me back on time and I still would NEVER be disrespectful to a source about it - people have their lives and they're busy with other things. That is no excuse for being so rude and unprofessional.
