One of the few stables in the Washington D.C. area that offer escorted trail rides for adults and children. Escorted trail rides are available Sunday afternoons at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm and last one hour. The cost for the trail ride is $35.00 per person. Reservations are required, and may be made no earlier than the previous Sunday. Groups of 5 or more may reserve earlier and a deposit of the total amount is required when making the reservation. We do not do lead line or pony rides.
Summer horsemanship camp is open to all level riders, from beginner through jump, ages 8 to 18. The camps run in two-week session. Camp meets Monday through Friday 8 am until 12 noon. Each session includes riding lessons, grooming and horsemanship lessons, trail rides, and a bareback trip to the water hole (weather permitting) to take the horses swimming. At the end of the session, there is a horse show and a picnic for parents and guests.
Gift certificates are available for Sunday trail rides and private lessons. Gift certificates can be purchased at the Stables. The best times to call are afternoons and evenings during the week and 9 to 4 on the weekend.
