Best

I've been here many many times and like their selection for shopping but there's really not much in the way of eateries here. Their layout is odd, almost like a starfish, which re...

Worst

This mall is terrible. Any day or time that you go and you will surely not find a parking space. Especially at Nordstrom or in the eastern multi-level parking at Nordstrom. Same g...

My favorite mall 3/20/2006

This is my favorite local mall. It has fountains for the kids and a play area out of the way near Sears for the kids also. It has the major stores but probably is smaller than the average mall. Parking is ample. Food is good there. If you are looking for something healthier, try the sandwich place in the food court. You can get a fruit salad, pasta, sandwiches, etc. Other food is also available there and other locations in the mall. There are also stores on the outskirts in the parking area, including Mexican restaurant, electronics store and others. The main mall has Macys, Robinsons-May, Sears, Nordstroms, Apple store, Body Shop and so forth. It is open air and really nice on hot summer days. more

Small 1/15/2006

Like many of the malls in San Diego, this mall is open-air -- no roof. This is a small mall, not many stores and is never crowded. There is plenty of parking available. This mall is a bit out of the way, so unless there is a store there that you specifically want something from, you're probably better off going elsewhere. It's not a bad mall, just not a lot to offer. more

nice small shopping mall 11/17/2005

If you are looking for something pretty, not too crowded, UTC is the way to go. UTC is a small mall; it doesn't have everything but it has most of the main stores. It's usually not crowded, it's maintained pretty nicely so it always looked pretty and elegant. It has nice fountains in the middle. I like going here, unless it doesn't have the store I want. It is less crowded, just as good as bigger malls, without dealing with the mess and parking problems. It's an outdoor mall also. more

  • In Short
Anchored by Nordstrom, Macy's and Sears, this lushly landscaped mall features an Olympic-sized ice rink and popular stores like Cache, Hollister, Sephora, Apple Computer, Benetton, Anthropologie, Lucky Brand Jeans, Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. Full-service restaurants include Peking Palace, Red Robin, Cozymel's, Miami Grille and Boudin Bakery Café, while the food court offers a dozen fast food eateries. An exciting revitalization project over the next four years will add 750,000 square feet of space for new stores, a state-of-the-art cinema and additional outdoor plazas. Billed as a model for green development in the shopping center industry, the upgraded center will also include residential units and a transit center.
