i used to be a Pub regular but I'm done. Last night I went to get a burger because they can cook them to order. Ordered it medium three times. Three times got a well done burger served. Really disappointed that in an hour and a half I couldn't get my dinner and *nothing* was done to make it up to me except ""we'll take it off your bill."" Of course you will since I never got what I ordered. When the waitress brought the receipt, the check clearly indicated that she had written down ""well"", thus why the kitchen staff kept screwing it up. The owner was there and everything, and didn't seem to care beyond finally suggesting (long after my dinner companion had finished his meal of course) that I ""order a sandwich."" Everyone has off nights, but screwing up in the exact same way THREE TIMES and not doing anything to compensate for it, not even actually being SORRY about it, especially for someone who eats there on average twice a week, is just crappy. Undermines one of the points of being a regular somewhere if you still get crappy service from wait staff to management. more

They have the best fish and chips in town. It is a neighborhood place that is friendly and fun to go. You can sit outside and have dinner or a drink with friends. Pros: Best fish and chips more

THE PUB OFFERS GREAT FOOD (NOT JUST BAR FOOD). THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC EVERY THURSDAY, PUB BINGO, NAME THAT TUNE NIGHT, PUB TRIVIA AND GUEST BARTENDER ON A MONTHLY BASIS. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND REMEMBER THEIR REGULAR CUSTOMERS. INSIDE CAN GET A LITTLE SMOKEY, HOWEVER THEY HAVE A GREAT COVERED PATIO THAT HAS FANS TO KEEP YOU COOL. THE DESSERTS ARE AWESOME. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE A LIMITED MENU, THEY OFFER QUITE A BIT OF SPECIALS EVERY DAY. THE PRICES ARE IN LINE WITH OTHER RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA. This is a great place to go if you want to hang out at a bar and have a drink, or for a simple lunch or dinner. The desserts are especially great - homemade, huge, and awesome. Some of the menu items, however, are a bit overpriced for a local pub in this area. The service is also usually above average - the bartender is friendly and conversational, while the waitstaff is courteous and upbeat. We discovered ""the Pub"" about a year ago and have become regulars for their AMAZING menu!! The HUGE menu is wonderful, we have had everything from burgers to salads, fish and chips, chickenpot pie...all of it, and have never had even a mediocre meal here! EVERYTHING is great! They have a great beer selection and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend West 94th St. Pub to anyone looking for great food in a cool locally owned environment! I thought that everything was terrific about this place. What a fun and yummy place. We could not be happier with the selection. They were friendly and kind to us even though they were packed. The beer selection was okay but the prices was worth the smaller list. I really recommend the fish and chip....Also, they have nightly specials that were a great deal. They have my business. I am in the US Navy and ofcourse that associates me with drink and bars. Therefore, being a somewhat expert on the topic, West 94th St. Pub is a GREAT pub. I have been to bars, pubs, grills, and joints that just will pour you a beer all over the world, and this one is a keeper. You can get a bite to eat to hold you off till you go home to your family, or even a full meal out with your family. A great scene for all types and great employees. A deserving winner of ""The Salty Dog Award"" of great bars in the world. My husband and I had been here for drinks before, and had a great experience -- there is one bartender who really knows his stuff, younger guy, with funky cool glasses -- but the first and last time we ordered food it was awful. The descriptions on the menu sound great, but when it came, it was a step below airport food. And that was after they got my order totally wrong, and had to remake it. They have the best Fish and Chips in the country. The other place to get them as great is in England. I enjoy going in an having a beer and the servers all know what I drink when they see me. That is a real plus to me. more
