I recently went to this practice because they were in-network for my insurer. I paid my $30 co-pay and gave my insurance card and waited while the billing office confirmed my status. A month later I receive a bill for ""emergency services"" which I did not receive (I was waiting so long for my new asthma prescription that I fell asleep.)
For a practice that specifically told me it couldn't deal with emergencies because it was a walk-in clinic and that has a ""please call 911 if this is an emergency"" on its answering machine, this is a bit rich.
Plus, BEFORE I went in I specifically confirmed that there would be no additional charges.
If the billing is this bad, what must the medicine be like?
Pros: large waiting room
Cons: double billing
