Weir's opening is a sign of spring 4/6/2006

When you see a line of cars forming to get into the Weir's parking lot, you know spring has arrived. Their soft serve ice creams draw customers from many miles away. We drive from Cornwall there and it is well worth our time. Their dips are excellent and they have a variety of dip flavors (not just chocolate or cherry) to choose from. The blueberry dip is terrific, as is the peanut butter one. I'd drive from anywhere in Orange County for a cone from Weir's. more

A Summertime Tradition 3/29/2006

When we first moved to New York, we discovered this gem of an ice cream spot. They have a huge selection of frozen confections in many flavors and combinations. They are only open seasonally, but since it's a walk-up stand, it doesn't make sense to be open in January! My only complaint is that they're not open for late-night ice cream cravings... more
