SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!! 8/21/2010

I was so excited to take my kids here and then I saw the price. I took a deep breath and paid the price of admission and we went. Here is what we found. The lines were LONG!!! Sometimes almost an hour! The food (as it usually is) was EXPENSIVE! I brought a 3 year old, paid less, but still a lot and found that the park staff did not enforce rules to keep big kids off little kids stuff, even when I asked. The response, ""they don't listen to us."" My response, ""Isn't that your JOB."" Still no action. My 3 year old was overwhelmed by all the larger kids and wouldn't go on ""his"" size stuff!!! That was money wasted. I had my kids rate it on the way home and they all came up with about a 3!! (and they didn't pay the admission price!!!) They said the rides were fun, but they didn't get to go on many because of the lines. Per ride, it worked out to about $5.00 per ride for the whole day!!! Go to the beach, go to a pool, but save your money and DON'T go here!! more

DO NOT GO ON A WEEKEND!! 8/17/2009

Save your money and do not go to Water County on a weekend. We went on a Sunday in August ...if you like being downton New York City during rush hour except everyone is unclothed and covered in tatoos this is the place for you! The horrible sound system was blaring distored music. The park was dirty, the clorine just about burned the eyebrows off of us...the pirates cove pool was closed for a time due to a 'floater' in the pool. There was no way I would let my 8 year old daughter near it and when the rope was removed people swarmed into the pool ...UUUGGGHHHH. The lazy river ride was bumper to bumper and the wave pool was a sea of heads you could not get out to the water there were so many people in the pool. Teenagers in our party waited one hour and 20 minutes to go on one of the rides. Water Country needs to limit the amount of people they let in. This place was bursting at the seams with the lowest common denominator and it wasn't pretty. I will never ever go back there again. Pros: water rides Cons: TOO MANY PEOPLE TOTALLY DISGUSTING! more

Fun, but leave the little ones at home 9/7/2007

Water Country is great for older kids, but leave the little ones at home. Unfortunatley, the staff encouraged me to pay the price of admission because there was ""a lot for a 3 year old"". I can't wait to take my daughter to Water Country when she gets olders. At 3, there just wasn't enough for her to do to justify the price. She's adventurous, but even the few rides she could go on were more than she was ready for. We'll stick to Storyland for a few more years! more
