rude staff 5/25/2010

The food was good. I left a tip but the waiter didn't see it (it was picked up by another waiter) so he run after me IN THE STREET , to ask me for the tip ! insisting that I add it to the credit card bill !! outrageous and extremely rude for that type of place and prices. I had to talk to the manager who said the tip was found but hardly apologized. Could be the material for a joke. I will never come back.? Pros: very good food Cons: amazing rude waiters more

Very tasty and affordable sush! 5/18/2008

After reading the reviews on this site, some friends and I decided to check out this restaurant. We were not lead astray! The menu had a very wide variety, and the many waiter's that stopped by our table were able to make some very good suggestions. We ordered several sushi rolls (spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, salmon, eel & avocado, and peanut & avocado), and all were well prepared and made with fresh ingredients. All were excellent and very reasonably priced. I believe the rolls ranged from $4-7. I've had sushi at many different restaurants, and I definitely recommend Wasabi Lobby. Pros: Service, menu selection, fresh food, reasonably priced. more

Great Food - Excellent Service! 3/26/2008

Wasabi Lobby is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants. The food is always delicious and fresh and the staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. The Godzilla roll is one of my favs - but I have always found that whatever I order turns out to be wonderful. The atmosphere is both intimate and relaxed. I love their green tea! I find myself returning time and time again and when I haven't been there for a while, I miss it! I love this place. Pros: Food-Service- Atmosphere -Price Cons: Only 2 restrooms (though they are beautiful!) more

Stopped by here with my girlfriend and she is hesitant about eating sushi. We ate here and now all she wants to do is eat sushi all the time. The atmosphere is really nice. Good UES Sushi Restaurant 5/5/2007

Wasabi Lobby is a very good but not a great Sushi restaurant. They have several very creative rolls that are excellent, including the Spicy Blue Crab and the Lovers Roll. Their Rock Shrimp apetizer was very good. Pros: Good Food, Excellent Service more

wasabi lobby have this authentic japanese taste,very tasty with a good price & the waitstaff always have a nice smile to welcome you and make you feel like at home.from the spicy blue crab roll to the pretty nice waitstaff all is a good combination of heaven.you will feel like you have dinner at 5 star restaurant but you pay a lot less than that 5 star restaurants.i will definitely come back again and again and enjoy my spicy blue crab . more

Forget Haru, Sushi Gen, Yuka, Sushi Hana, Ota Ya etc. This place is where you gotta go on the UES ! The prices are fantastic and the sushi is amazing. Everything is made like the way sushi used to be made...very artsy and with pride. It's like the difference between a ""cook"" and a ""chef"". Unfortunatly I stopped in today to get sushi to take out, the people were really friendly, but unfortunatly when I got home, the brown rice I had paid extra for was actually white, and the avocado was spoiled, I ended up throwing it away. Pros: nice people Cons: bad food more

Good UES sushi joint 11/1/2006

I order from here all the time on the UES. Food is fresh, delivery is prompt and roll selection is good. I would love to have them add mochi to the menu. The service is a bit spotty when you actually go there but overall a great place for sushi. more

Favorite Sushi Place in NY, hands down 7/20/2006

After becoming numbed to the cookie cutter sushi restaurants all over the city, I was completely blown away by Wasabi Lobby. Two of us went there on Friday night, and were greeted with a very friendly staff and a very clean and inviting space. The menu was filled with of course the standard sushi fair, but the real gem was the unuusal and creative combinations of sushis and sauces and other ingredients they had as well. The waiters and staff helped me pick out a number of rolls and pieces, and every one was better then the next. I couldn't tell you al the stuff we had, but it left me wanting for more. One with cream cheese and aberry sauce was particularly tasty. Pros: Great unique menu, friendly staff, clean and attractive space. more
