I took my young, healthy dog into Warner Vista for a routine dental cleaning, and the vet decided to surgically extract 5 teeth without talking to me first. They require that you sign a release form before the cleaning, but I never in a million years would have thought that they would feel justified to making such a significant decision without consulting me first. Part of his job is to convince me that his teeth were so severe that no other intervention is possible and that they needed to be extracted. My pet never showed any discomfort or pain or anything that indicated to me that there was a problem. What made me even angrier is that the technician, and not the veterinarian, did the post-surgery debrief. She explained that his teeth were "loose". The vet called me the next day when I complained and failed to convince to me that his teeth were so severe that they needed to extract five of them. I'm furious about this. They should have consulted me, and with an explanation like that, I never would have authorized it. Their behavior is an egregious violation of trust. Completely unacceptable. Do not take your pet to Warner Vista.
