Walrus

I tried out The Walrus after I discovered that it was under new ownership & management. I was not disappointed! I eat at the restaurant or to-go about 3 times a week. Yes, it is that good. The Walrus is known for its huge food & drink menus, heavy on italian pastas & pizzas. Most everything is still on it, though there has been some tweaking with the new chef, Kristin Sande. Check out their specials for new choices & healthy fare. Some of my favorites have been chana masala, a roasted veggie sandwich, the tuscan salad for two...just to name a few. Last night I had Lo-mein which was absolutely scrumptious. They still make house-made soups & I hear that they are making their own house-made meatballs. I'll let someone else try the meatballs out, as I am vegetarian :-) I would recommend this restaurant to everyone to give a try. Honestly, the menu has something on it FOR everyone. Smaller parties though. If your group is over 10 people, you might want to look elsewhere. Pros: really good food, beer & wine, many choices on menu Cons: too cozy for parties larger than 12 more

This restaurant has been a favorite of locals for years. No surprise, excellent italian food. Service is always good. Fresh bread and garlic butter is awesome. Great selection of soups, salads, pasta, pizza, steaks, calzones and sandwiches. This is always my first choice for dining. Dress is casual. Also a good business lunch place.
