I visited the Gainesville Walmart late in the evening, around 10:30 or so. I found most of the items I was attempting to purchase to be fairly banged up, as if the stockers didn't care what the merchandise looked like. When I got to the only checkout lane open, the self-checkout, the woman there rudely told me that the lane was closed and that I needed to trek all the way to the other side of the store to check out, which meant trekking all the way back to exit the only open door to get to my car. I was even more disappointed that, as I was walking back from the checkout to the doors, they had deemed it worthy of other customers to open a checkout lane on the near side of the store, AFTER I was told that I would have to go to the other side of the store to check out. This is the second time in three visits to this store that this has happened.\r

Last week, I purchased two apples from this very same store to find both of them rotten on the inside, but looking fresh on the outside. I am VERY unhappy with this store, as the store in Oakwood has always offered me prompt, kind, and considerate service, and whenever I've had any problem, they are always willing and happy to solve it. Obviously, Gainesville's Walmart needs to train its employees to respect the customers a little better.
