I love my church 10/1/2014

I am continually impressed by the amount of love that flows out of this church. The people make sure that everyone feels welcome. The teaching is exactly what people need to hear: God loves you, and He sent His son to die for your sins. more

Owner Message
  • If you're a visitor to Walk Of Grace chapel, we want you to feel comfortable when you arrive. Part of feeling comfortable is knowing what to expect. Hopefully reading this will help you know exactly what will take place when you visit us.
Sunday morning services begin at 10:30, and generally end around 12:00. We spend the first 30 - 40 minutes singing songs. After the music we generally spend time going over recent news and upcoming announcements for the church, and then when the announcements are taken care of, our pastor generally shares his message for the day. That usually takes us up to about noon, and that's all there is to it!

Our Wednesday night services are similar. They start at 7:00 and last for about an hour and a half. They start with music like our Sunday services, but the teaching time is much more relaxed on Wednesdays. Often we sit around tables while the pastor conducts his message in a discussion format, usually with coffee and snacks.

We have what we call a "full band", meaning we have a guitar, bass, piano, and drums accompanying our singer. Our style varies a bit from song to song, but most of our songs fit somewhere in the "contemporary" range (meaning we sing with a more modern style of music... that is, compared to "traditional" style of singing hymns with a piano and/or organ). Our worship team likes to mix it up with different styles, too, from rock, to country, to rock n roll, to island style, or whatever else they can come up with!

We are a very relaxed church as far as participation in the music goes. If you are comfortable standing and clapping and raising your hands, great! We welcome that! If you are comfortable sitting during the music, we welcome that, too! Be assured that you will not be out of place no matter what you choose to do.

Oh, and don't worry about not knowing the words to our songs. The words to everything we sing are displayed on an overhead projector at the front of the church!
Some people like to wear dressy "Sunday Best" type clothes while other like to wear jeans and tennis shoes. We want you to feel comfortable either way.
We currently have a class during the Sunday morning sermon for kids 13 and under, and for teenagers we have a Wednesday night Youth class.
Besides street parking immediately in front of the building, the public school across the street has graciously allowed us to use their parking lot for our church services and events.
