you two are crazy 6/15/2006

while their beer selection isnt to die for - the market has hands down the best meats in DC - its pretty much the only place you can get dry aged prime beef! Tim - the guy that runs the seafood counter knows his stuff. The owners are jerks (I used to be the manager there) but the place is great. Maria behind the sandwhich counter is hilarious and makes a killer sandwich. You two are CRAZY - if anyone out there hasnt been to wagshals - GO - NOW!!!! but dont go there just to buy beer. more

wagshals has a very small selection and i wonder how it stays in buisness. they dont sell many things and i didnt see any shoppers there while i was there. they quality was good its just that there was not a good selection. i would shop there if they got a bigger location with more products. more

How Does It Stay In Business 8/18/2005

I can understand in New York City that a tiny little grocer could survive, but Wagshal's is located in a residential seciton of DC that's more inclined toward supermarkets and strip malls than mom and pop groceries. That being aside, if you do go in, you'll find the quality is good and it's a friendly atmosphere. more
