Don't go here!!!!! 12/28/2006

This was a nightmarish experience dealing with the Wagon Shop. We brought my 16 yo son's '90 GTI in for repairs in Aug. 2006. It was his project car that he'd been rebuilding for a year and a half and had purchased a number of expensive parts which he'd installed. He had an electrical problem that he couldn't solve so we towed it to Wagon Shop. We called regularly to check on progress but it took 2 months before they were finished. When we arrived to pick the car up, my son discovered all the parts that he had installed were missing, including the bumper kit, the smoked crosshairs headlights, the $100 gear shift knob and the Kenwood stereo. Wagon Shop just shrugged it off and said they weren't liable or responsible. I called the police and filed a report because the car clearly had not been broken into but unlocked, and of course Wagon Shop had the key, but nothing ever happened. To be fair, Wagon Shop had fixed the electrical problem on the car and my son was able to drive it away. I wrote a $700+ check for the repairs but cancelled payment the next day. Interestingly enough, the car burst into flame exactly one week later at 2:30am. Fortunately for us, a passing policeman called the fire department and woke us up. Ten minutes later the house would have in flames. The fire inspector said the fire was likely started from an electrical problem. We have heard nothing but shady and fishy stories about Wagon Shop. Others that we know personally have had parts ripped off. Don't go there! Tell your friends, DON'T GO THERE! I think they are a front for a car parts theft ring. They turn their heads while things disappear and fill their pockets with their cut. THIS PLACE IS BAD NEWS! more
