We are truly dedicated as a team to this pursuit of excellence in veterinary medicine.Dr. Earl Willis. Willis is a 1994 graduate of the University of Virginia and graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. In veterinary school, Dr. Willis was a member of the student chapter of The Emergency and Critical Care Society and The Honor Society of Phi Zeta and continues to be a member of both as a professional. He is also a member of The Biltmore Who's Who. Dr. Willis has been practicing emergency medicine at the Veterinary Emergency Center for the past nine years and has a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Willis is thrilled to be opening Winterfield Veterinary Hospital with colleague, Dr. Sara White. In his spare time, Dr. Willis enjoys fly fishing, golf, being outdoors and playing lacrosse. He and his wife Tunstall have just welcomed a baby boy Parker into their lives. Their four legged children include two basset hounds, Linus and Lucy and two Japanese Chins, Danny and Dickens. Dr Sara White was born in Colchester, England where she lived for 10 years and became an avid fan of James Herriot. She spent the rest of her childhood in Mclean, Virginia. After completing a bachelor of science degree from James Madison University in 1992 she attended Virginia Tech Veterinary School and graduated with a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1996. She spent the first five years as a veterinarian in a small animal practice in Arlington, Virginia. During this time she volunteered at the D.C. humane society and helped start a mobile spay-neuter service. She moved to Richmond in 2000 and worked at West End Veterinary Hospital. After the birth of her first daughter she decided to become a relief veterinarian and has been practicing all over the Richmond metropolitan area. Her interests include internal medicine, pain management and geriatric care. Dr White has been married to her husband Gary since 2001. She and Gary reside in the west end with their two daughters Lily and Sophie. Their four legged children include a Labrador, a Newfoundland, four cats and a horse name
