Vogue Nails

I went here on a busy afternoon for a drop in. I was told about 1/2 hour & close to an hour later I was still waiting. They were unresponsive & rude-I finally got a mediocre manicure but it was 35-40 mins later than it should have been. I wouldn't go here unless you like spending hours hanging out in a nail salon. I had a quite unpleasant experience here. I stopped by on a sunday at 3pm to check availability for manicure. They said come back in 45 mins. I waited around (despite a busy day) and came back 45 mins later and sat down. The place looked the same, a bunch of people sitting waiting & a few women doing nails-none looked close to done. After some time, I politely asked about how long a wait-they said a few minutes. 15 minutes later I politely asked again & they said a few minutes. How many minutes? 5 they said. Another 13 minutes passed...I asked again-this time a tiny bit aggravated-the woman just gave me a blank look. When I said I had been waiting well over an hour, she said the next available time was 6PM!! I'm not sure if I heard correctly or if this was out of spite because I was annoyed. At any rate, I walked out. It was a waste of 1.5 hours I'll never get back. To add insult to injury they were not remotely apologetic for inconveniencing me (I don't think they had bothered to actually predict a realistic wait time)- they were dismissive & rude. I recently moved to the Fillmore area & was hanging out with good friends in from out of town. We decided to get our nails done & popped in. We were told about 40 min wait-it was a nice day so we walked around & came back. We waited but they still didn't seem anywhere close to ready. We just talked & hung out there but it wound up taking another 40 minutes to get service!!! We managed to entertain ourselves but in hindsight it was kind of a rediculous wait-definitely not worth it for a manicure!! They didn't acknowledge that they were running behind or act like it was unusual. I guess it's ok if you really aren't in a rush... Pros: In a cool, trendy location, prices reasonable Cons: Wait time is rediculous & totally inaccurate more
