My sons and I were in Georgetown and needed an eye exam. We were seen by Doctor Sturm. He was a very sharp, professional doctor. I was particularly pleased by the thoroughness and the extent that my results were explained to me. I also appreciated his courteous attempts to answer all my ranting questions. First off, let me start by saying I never write reviews, but I had the best experience ever so I decided to take the time to do one. I have to admit, i tend to put things off til the last minute so I was down to my last set of contacts and I was way over due for a new prescription. I called in the morning and they fit me in that afternoon. I was a new patient so I needed to fill out some paper work but the forms are online so it only took a few minutes to complete. I dont have insurance but they were running a special so I got a great deal and spent a lot less then expecting. Location is great and easy to find. I was greated by a friendly front desk staff and was taken back after only waiting a couple of minutes. I tend to get a bit uncomfortable when going to doctors appointments so I was a bit nervous. Dr. Sturm was great! Very outgoing and personable. He took his time explaining everything to me and answering all my questions. And I had a lot of questions, so it was great he was so patient with me. I have since then recommended him to my co-workers, all of which had nothing but good things to say. I'll be back next year! more

I've worn glasses for the past few years and I will admit they I need them and that they have helped me a lot, but that's not why I'm writing my first review ever. I'm writing it simply because the glasses I'm wearing now have a sharpness like never before. The reason is Dr. Mark Strum! My friend here in Austin suggested I drive up to see ""his guy"" I live in NYC for a long time and got use to having certain ""guys"" for things. And now I have an ""eye guy"". He took his time to make sure that the prescription would be right and corrective, he even knew that I wasn't going to buy my eye glasses from them. He didn't care about that, just me getting the most accurate prescription possible. So many times before I've been rushed in and rushed back out of an eye exam. Now I understand, they don't make a lot of money of them. Not Dr. Strum, he literally made my life a little better... well, clearer anyways. If you want the most accurate eye exam by a very friendly staff then Georgetown Vision Center is the place... Even if you drive from Austin like I did. Trust me, my ""eye guy"" is worth the trip. more

My husband and I needed an eye exam and went to Georgetown Vision. The front desk receptionist did a great job! She spent the extra time to call our insurance and found that we had a covered eye exam under our medical insurance! This was a surprise to me because we've had this insurance for a while and no one has ever hold us that. Our eye doctor, Dr Sturm, was pleasant and did a thorough job, more than what I've had with other offices. Everyone there was very friendly. We will be coming back for our next eye exam here. more

I was seen at georgetown vision center for an eye exam with no appointment. The optometrist, Dr sturm was a younger doctor, very down to earth, polite. What I really liked was that he took some time to explain what type of lenses would work best for me, since I never had a pair of glasses and now needed bifocals. I have a lot of things going on with my eyes and no one ever really explained it to me. After my eye exam the eye doctor explained everything in simple way to where I finally understand. He didn't make me feel stupid with all my questions either. He actually took pictures of my cataracts and showed them to me on the computer. I had no idea! After all those years and no one took the time to do this! The entire staff and the optometrist were kind and welcoming, and I felt like i was great hands. I will be sure to come here next time. more

I was looking for an optometrist in Georgetown and my co worker just had an eye exam at Georgetown Vision Center, and highly recommended it. Since it was close to work I gave it a shot. Before I got there they told me to fill out the forms online. I did and didn't have to wait at all when I got there. My insurance was already looked up for me and my information already in the computer system, so they started with the exam testing immediately. Dr.Sturm was my optometrist. What a personable eye doctor! This was also probably the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. I will be recommending Dr. Sturm to the rest of my co-workers. more

Dr Sturm is the best! First of all, there was no reason for me to still have those glasses anyway, they were on their last leg. I called this morning because my glases finally borke and they were my only pair. Dr sturm was able to see me on short notice the same day. He really took his time and explainded everything very well, and I didn't feel like I was rushed through like the last office I was in (I am horrible at the one vs two thing) He was very patient with me thank god!! He talked me into trying contacts again, and I'm so glad I did! They are so much more comfortable than I remembered. I left the office and could see great, and didn't have to wait a week for my new glasses to be able to see again. I can't say enough about how imprssed I was.
