Dripping with Southern charm 4/1/2006

The Old Vinings Inn Restaurant is dripping in Southern charm. Set in an old white house, this restaurant is one of my favorites. It is very romantic - old hardwood floors, fire places and tons of candle light. There is also a fun bar upstairs in the attic where they have live entertainment many nights of the week. The food is fantastic. Expect entrees to run around $25. Some favorites are the shrimp and grits and the fried green tomatoes. more

A Upstair Bar for Midgets 10/19/2005

It is located in the heart of Vinings in an old Historic quaint building. It has a southern feel about it. The food is satisfactory but the atmosphere is extraordinary for a romantic dinner, but I would not recommend the upstairs bar to anyone. There is a midget upstair bar, I am 5'10 and I got a creak in my neck when I went there. The Ceiling are very low upstairs, so if you are over 5'5, you will not be able to stand up in this place. more

Vinings Inn is a winner! Very romantic! 8/2/2005

If you are searching for a romantic restaurant with delicious food, look no further. Vinings Inn is an old home from the 1800'2 that has been turned into a restaurant. It is small and cozy. The food is out of this world DELICIOUS. I fthere is one thing that you MUST try, it is the crab cakes. Vinings Inn is known for their crab cakes. They are perfect! The warm spinach salad is another tasty item. Great wines and ambience. This is a great place to take your honey for an anniversary or special birthday meal. Later in the evening, a band starts upstairs in the attic bar (it really is the attic, you have to duck in order to not hit your head). The bar is open to a balcony, so you can eat outside, if you choose to eat up here. Very fun place! more
