Dr. Firshein is a very nice man, but that doesn't make him a competent podiatrist. I went to him after severely stubbing my toe, fearing it was broken. He assured me it was just bruised, even after an x-ray. Unfortunately, a 2nd opinion too late (after the bones had reset crooked) from another podiatrist was that the bones had indeed been fractured and could have been set, returning my toe to normal. Instead, I have a crooked toe with a painful and unsightly corn permanently because my shoes no longer fit.
