I can't remember downtown Cortland without The Village Antique and Lamp shop but it closed up quite some time ago and had an auction to liquidate all of its leftover stock. It was a really neat place to antiquing at and just winodw browse even. It's a shame that it is gone as are many of the little shops like it in Cortland. I guess that fad is over. more

Sad to See it Close 10/21/2005

The lamp shop closed up and had an auction to sell off what was left of the stock. I was sad to see it go-- was a really nice place to look around. They had a nice selection of antique and unique lamps. But prices were high. The building still has the signs on it and so far it has no for sale signs. Would like to see another antique store open up in its place. more
