You come to Viand for the fresh turkey sandwiches. PERIOD. This tiny little coffee shop roasts whole turkeys daily and makes the most incredible mile high sandwiches. When I worked in Manhattan on E. 53 Street, I would literally walk here at least twice a week just for the turkey sandwiches. The seating is limited, the space is cramped and you'll be elbow to elbow with your neighbors. But it's worth it. more

A bit pricey 2/24/2006

but I think that may be because the place doesn't look like it deserves for the prices to be what they are. However, the food does live up to the pricing..and the neighborhood. It may be a coffee shop, but remember that coffee shops started out being a place that you could count on getting a lot of great food for your money. That still stands here, even if it is New York. more
