Via Roma Banquet Hall

Via Roma was perfect! We had looked for days for the best place for our event. Once we found their website (viaromaprov) it only took one phone call to realize we had the right place. Their menu choices are quite extensive, and it's all right on the web. We even customized some details, and Domenic was more than accomodating. They did an excellent job catering the entire wedding rehearsal dinner, and on a on Friday night! The valets were quick and polite, all the food was terrific, the room was gorgeous, the tables were set and placed exactly the way we wanted with lovely linens, and last, but certainly not least, the waitstaff was incredible. In short, the night was everything we hoped for, and more. Our event set the tone for a perfect weekend celebrating the marriage of two of our favorite people, and we could not have made a better choice than Via Roma for our party. I'm not sure when we'll be back in Providence, but you can be sure we'll make Via Roma our number one stop when we do. Domenic, thank you so very much. more

When I saw this website and read the review on it about Via Roma I was very surprised. I have not lived in RI long and co-workers suggested to try out Via Roma because of it's prime location and accomodations. Whe I met with the owner Domenic, he was very hospitable and tailored my menu to fit my budget and the type of food I wanted to serve. I did not feel rushed and I , with many other of my co-workers, have been there for many occasions such as; bridal showers, Thursday night buffets, baby showers, a wedding, and my son had his 1st birthday party there. At no time was Domenic ever rude or rushed us out of his establishment. You definitely get what you pay for! The food is always fresh, the service was great, and he is very accomodating to people with food allergies...which is very big in my family! I would reccommend any of his dishes whether it be from a brunch to a dinner buffet! Pros: Great food, warm environment, & accomodating services! Cons: Limited parking on Federal Hill...itself! Althogh there is Valet service available! more

Food was pretty good. Service was pretty good as well. End of evening, Dominic (owner or manager I believe) wanted everyone out, had staff remove glasses from tables that still had beverages in them. Treated the live band very disrespectively, told them to hurry up and leave or he'd lock the place up. Too bad, on the door it said celebrating 10 years...hope they can last to 11...\r Kind of like that old fashion banquet hall mentality...salad/pasta/chicken on the bone...\r Doesn't seem at all like a team player.........Bands (and dj's, too) BEWARE....(tough to get in as well...three mini stair cases..with landings...) more
