The fifth location of B.R. Guest's popular Mexican chain offers the same above-average cuisine that made the first four so successful, with a prime Meatpacking District address to boot. Housed in a deceptively large space, Dos Caminos MePa occupies two sprawling floors lined almost entirely with windows, allowing for nice natural light during the day and an appealing view of the bustling 'hood come nightfall. Homemade guacamole and a variety of bocaditos (appetizers) like quesadillas and empanadas are best enjoyed over strong mojitos at one of the many sidewalk tables. Three separate menus (lunch, dinner and late-night) vary slightly, but expect to find most of the usual suspects (assorted tacos, ceviche and traditional Mexican large plates) on offer. It may not be the most authentic Mexican food in New York, but that doesn't mean it's not good.
