I love a lot of things in this shop but their cannolis are by far the best I have ever had.

Worst

Eventhough the desserts are great, the service holds it back. Not able to handle groups larger than 2 efficently. Occassional rude service is really disappointing. Too bad...maybe...

tasty treats and more! 3/10/2003

went on sunday evening w/ friends and all were knocked into a serious sugar eutopia by the time we left....everthing from the canoli's to cookies, to cakes were all sinfully delicious....highly recommend trying the sparkling brut wine w/ cannoli or chocolate treats. while the wait for your order is a lil on the slow side (plus surly attitude of some of the staff), the quality of the treats makes it worth!!! more

sweets to your heart's content, not for feint diets 3/8/2003

TIP: holidays coming so must go early, don't cry if you're late! thksgiving, xmas, mom/dad day worst time. pre-order next door for pickup/delivery. I only go take-out. mini's are your best bet for entertaining - so many to choose from, also the bestest value, price has not skyrocketed in 6yrs time! love the banana/strawberry pudding shortcake, made it our wedding cake & mini's for our dessert bar. sit down svc is terriby slow when crowded. other desserts too sweet (what did i expect?!). cheesecakes/variety very good. but, place is pricey (cepting the mini's) & rainbow cookies?? lorabies is better. SUM IT: heed my holiday tip above! also MINI's are the best - impress on your guests!\r Pros: MINI pastries, variety Cons: almost always busy, nyc pricey, hard seats/tight more

Its like a drug....I love this place!....The prices are unheard of for its taste and quality. I would recommend the plain and strawberry cheese cakes. I also love the bannana/choc shortcake. If you thinks its crowded on the weekends--try around the holidays!!!! more

Delicious desserts worth the trip 9/17/2002

The cannolis, cheesecakes, and fruit tarts are my personal favorites. Sometimes, the take-out and seating lines can be long, but the staff help move things along. However, table service can be slow, especially if the place is packed. Still, the desserts are what you should be looking forward to ... Absolutely hooked on this place!! Incredible cheesecake, mocha espresso cake, strawberry shortcake, tiramisu cake - have had them all. Super good!!!!!!!!! Their mini fruit tarts are also excellent. They have a cookie selection of cookies too. I hope they never close in my lifetime!!!! Pros: superb cakes, cheesecake to die for, great menu variety Cons: long lines sometimes more

I was told that if you want good dessert, go to Veniero's. I certainly was not dissapointed. Veniero's has a huge variety of ""Italian"" desserts. I found it hard to choose because everything looks so yummy, so I bought a little of everything as much as i could possible. The place looked really nice and service was very helpful. more

Great creative desserts and drinks. I esp. liked the cappuccino/cocoa/chocolate gelato drink. I've never been disappointed with their desserts, whether dining in or taking out. The service was excellent and the servers were very patient and friendly. This is a classic NY place that everyone should try at least once...it'll become one of your favorites! This is my favorite pastry shop.I am a native New Yorker who has had desserts all over and this is the best. The Tiramisu is to die for,and the strawberry shortcake is awesome. I come all the way from Queens just to get a slice of Tiramisu. more

I always get the strawberry cheesecake here!! It is absolutely divine.....with the clear gelatin on top...the cheesecake stays good in your fridge for a couple days...I don't like to spend money on desserts...but with Veniero's i HAVE to splurge...soooo goood!!!! mmmmmm Pros: great dessert Cons: no parking, expensive more
