Review facial with Donna 2/6/2012

I really enjoyed my experience at Varuna this past weekend. It was very relaxing and from the moment I walked thru the front door, I was pampered with chilled water and a warm neck "collar" and escorted to the relaxation room to wait. The plant peel and facial was lovely. My only disappointment was that the room was near to the hair salon and the conversations could be heard. I have, however, had other facials in the rear rooms which are very quiet. more

kelly provided one of the best massages i have ever had. she was careful to be gentle with my injuries while giving a deep tissue massage to the areas that could handle it. this was an excellent experience and i hope to make it a habit. more

Hannah Miller 2/5/2012

Hannah Miller has been cutting and coloring my hair for the past 3 years and I think she does a consistently fabulous job. She listens to my concerns, answers my questions, and provides suggestions when asked for her opinion. I frequently get compliments from family, friends and strangers on my hair thanks to Hannah's expertise. I would recommend her highly. more

Varuna Aveda Salon - A Special Place 2/3/2012

The great atmosphere, services, and Aveda products are unique to this area. I am always treated so nicely. The Salon is quiet and comfortable. Michelle gives an excellent haircut. Sam gives a wonderful, relaxing facial. I always leave feeling special. more

Not Relaxing 1/31/2012

I had never been to this spa before, but it was recommended by the Westin. First off, my massage started 20 minutes late and ended about 5-10 minutes before it should have. Also, my therapist had cold hands. I was also scheduled for a mini facial to be added on to the massage. Well, I had to go to a different room after my massage for the facial, so not exactly an add on. There are no lockers, so I had to carry all my clothes with me. In between my treatments, I had to sit in a skimpy robe in the waiting area. Finally, it was time for my facial. Could not have been a bigger waste of time and money. The add on facial is an excuse to sell you products, and my therapist talked the whole time. Also, the room was outside the spa area in the loud salon part. They blasted "soothing" music to hide the noise. more

My experience with Jordan 1/30/2012

I loved your spa , everyone was so friendly. I had a facial done by Jordan. She was attentive and very kind, treating me as if I were special. I can't recall the exact date I was in but upon looking at your website I saw I could write about my experience. I have referred three of my friends all who live in the Davidsonville area. I suggested that they should ask for Jordan and I hope they will come in. I was so relaxed and Jordan went out of her way to make sure I enjoyed the experience. I will be sure to send Jordan alot of referrals. more

Love my hair! 1/27/2012

After my regular stylist left to go back to Utah, I had some trepidation getting a new stylist for my hair. I have to say my trepidation was unfounded! Loved, loved my hair. Going to work the next day, I received so many compliments. Especially how it flattered my face. The color and highlights were gorgeous. I've found a new hair stylist! more

I drive almost an hour to have Hannah cut and color my hair. She's fantastic and my color always looks natural. The front staff is friendly and professional as well---very easy to make an appointment or to reschedule if needed. more

Hair Cut 1/25/2012

This rating is for the actual hair cut and not anything else with Varuna. I had never had Angela cut my hair before, (Hannah and Tracy) but when I made my appt. I was assured a great cut from Angela. I did not really realize how unpleased I was until I returned home and could take a closer look at the cut. I have long hair with long layers,that were blended very well last time by Tracy. They are now very blunt and not blended well at all. Angela was nice, but not the most personable stylist- I do not ever expect a stylist to be overally chatty, and may be she was having a bad day- but I think a little more effort could have been put forward. This is the first time I have ever had any kind of bad experience and was caught off guard by this- more

Excellent in all areas 1/21/2012

Environment was excellent. All the small things were in place: clean facility, music, water/tea complimentary hot towels, aromas, staff was friendly and service was as expected. Everything was great and I do plan to return in the future. I was impressed with the wide range of services offered under one roof. My wife can take care of he hair and hands/feet while I enjoy a massage. This is an excellent facility and I highly recommend this place over all others more
