High quality service at a fair price and without the (BMW) attitude 5/31/2012

Gary services our BMW 528i and my wife's Porsche 356B. He is very knowledgeable and takes good care of our cars. He's very courteous and works fast to get our cars back to us. His experience working with the classic Porsche was gained from his years at the Stable (Pine/Franklin) and my wife trusted him to revive her car after it had been sitting in our garage for over 5 years. Now, it runs great!! more

You can't do better than Vanguard 5/31/2012

I have been taking my car to Gary and Paula for over 10 years now and have never regretted it. I believe that they have been keeping my 1994 325i running as long as it has. They have saved me tons of cash over the years by recommending preventative maintenance and they have saved my car's life by thinking out of the box more than a few times. One time I thought my transmission was toast. Gary dug around and found out that there was a failed chip to replace for a few hundred dollars instead of scrapping my car! more

The Best for BMWs in San Francisco 5/31/2012

I love my 10 year old 540i and I love the way Vanguard takes care of it for me. This place is honest, knowledgeable and the only place I would bring my car. more

Basically, I've been with Vanguard Motors for the last twenty years, and had owned my auto for thirty-one years. They have nothing but great service. As my car gets older, Vanguard Motors has recommended things they would do, and things that should be done based on my income. They are pleasant and kind. If they aren't able to do something, they are able to refer me to someone else. I won't even go out and buy a new car just so I can keep Vanguard Motors as my mechanics! more

Excelent place to take your BMW 8/2/2005

I started taking my BMW to Vanguard a few years ago and have been really pleased with their work. All service to be done was explained very well and they are extremely honest. They could have sold me a lot of expensive work but only recomended doing what was truely necessary. They are a porsche and BMW only shop so they are really knowelegeable and passionate about BMW's. They are not super cheap but the piece of mind that the job will be done right and and not getting ripped off is well worth it. Pros: honest, excelent work, dependable Cons: often booked more
