A Stand By That Always Pleases 4/6/2006

Van Dyke's location in the heart of Lincoln Road and it's extensive menu make it a good choice every time. This is the type of place you can go any time of day or night and be satisfied. It's good for groups or a date or just going to enjoy a solo meal. When the weather is good, sit outside. The inside is a bit gloomy for my taste. The menu has everything from breakfast to dessert. The prices are reasonable and the service is fine. Just don't go in expecting imaginative "cuisine." This place is just all around good and consistent, which is sometimes hard to find in areas with a lot of tourist traffic. more

Unique in the area, great atmosphere, antique-style, wonderful live music. Warrants investigation. more

Its a place where you feel good and eat at the same time 9/3/2005

Van Dyke Cafe is the place I at least go once a week. It is a place where you eat good food, where you see nice people and where you feel you are really in miami. You can notice that Can Dyke has a different style than the other restaurants even from a distance. It is a place that attracts you to and welcomes you when you are passing by. It is a place where you would have all your friends come together and enjoy a nice evening with good food. more

Jazz it up 8/25/2005

Van Dyke’s will help you keep cool, even when Miami Beach is hot…which is most of the time, after all. Pick your poison (wine, beer, mixed drinks—they have it all), and take your seat. Indoor seating is on two levels; the main level has cozy tables, and the upstairs level has comfy sofas. I like to sit on the outdoor terrace, but others prefer to sit closer to the live jazz, which pours out of the upstairs windows. more
