My first visit to VCA West Bernardo was okay. NIce looking building that is easy to find.\r
It was not until I returned I got the full experience with this place. \r
I needed a refill on my dogs VITAL daily medication. I called a day in advance, and they said that they were ""closing in 15 minutes, and to call back tomorrow"". I called as soon as they opened, and expressed the importance of these daily pills (if missed could have serious DEADLY effects). They said that they had one doctor (DR Robbins) on staff and ""would try to get back to me"". I waited 2 hours with no call back, and decided to visit the office. The front desk stakk girls where very rude to me, and told me that they ""had other sick dogs to worry about in surgery"". They said they ""might get to my refill today"" (keep in mind these are all REAL quotes from there staff).\r
I felt so disrespected, I decided to leave and go to my primary vet, vhsd (vhsd dot com is there website).\r
They where kind and caring, and filled my percription for me right on the spot, within minutes. \r
\r
Oh and as I was leaving, the lady at the front desk rudely smirked at me and said, ""Have a nice day"". You know... the kind of way that is more a slap in your face on purpose!\r
\r
Anyways... Good doctor, but very rude and unorganized staff. I will never return to this place, and recommend anyone to read all the other bad reviews left by others.\r
\r
Go to VSHSD (Sorrento Valley) if you want your animal to be well cared for, and to feel like you actually matter, and are not just another dollar.\r
They are understaffed and ""didn't have time"" to fill my sick dog perscription. \r
The front desk staff was very rude to me and my wife, and never once did the doctor return our phone calls to let him know about his staff (we called about 3 times throughout the day!)
