I have been a customer of University Animal Hospital for over a decade, and I would like to comment on how good the hospital staff has been to me over the years. The front desk staff are very helpful & caring. They know my pets by name and ask how they are doing. They’ve given me sympathetic hugs when I’ve needed one and I have always felt they cared about me, and my animals. more

UAH is wonderful. From the vets, the staff and the facilities, everything is just great! Everyone is very helpful and friendly, no waiting around, and they are all really knowledgeable. I feel safe bringing my dogs here. more

They did such a great job with my cat. She got sick and they were able to diagnose her very quickly, and prescribe her the right medicine to get well. I was very pleased with their work. more

Took Amazing Care 10/6/2011

We bring our pets in for grooming and they always look amazing after and smells good. They took amazing care of my Shelby and when it was time to put her down. Dr. Guss was very kind and sympathetic. more

The receptionist is always smiling and welcoming at all times of the day. They are always helpful too. They are not grumpy at you or refer you someone else. If it's not in their department they will go out of there way to get your questions answer and I truly thank you for that. more

I haven't been involved with the UAH personally, but wanted to thank them immensely for all they have done to help the husky rescue. We have received emails from Ann, just to simply tell us how much the doctors and staff have done for the rescue. They have gone above and beyond, and because of them these dogs and pups stand a better chance of finding the loving and forever homes that they deserve. more

  • University Animal Hospital is a complete small animal veterinary facility and a full-service boarding and grooming facility. Located in Tempe, University Animal Hospital was est. in 1962. It is the 2nd oldest veterinary practice in the entire east valley. The hospital moved to a new building in 1996 for which it won a national award due to how its specifically designed and constructed to facilitate better care of small animals. Our boarding facility includes 157 dog suites (indoor & outdoor) & 48 cat condos (indoor) available for owners to entrust their pets with us when they are away.
    In addition to spaying, neutering, micro-chipping, pet vaccinations, pet declawing and other veterinary services, University Animal Hospital offers many specialty services such as laser surgery, dentistry, endoscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and EKG. We also have an exotic/reptile Veterinarian on staff.
