I can't speak highly enough about this clinic. The doctors and staff have always been polite and kind. You can really tell they truely care about your pet. I wouldn't trust me Rosco with anyone else. They are great! Pros: Wonderfull, caring staff more

Everyone there from the receptionist, to the tech and the vet (Dr. Keinlen) were very nice and extremely thorough. They gave me a written quote before any services were performed, and that is exactly what I was charged. The only downside is they recommend Hill's science diet food, which is extremely poor quality (yet expensive) food which contains corn, wheat, artificial ingredients, and no quality meat. Unfortunately I have run into this a lot because many vets, including this one, get a kick back from Hill's for recommending and peddling their crap product. But as long as you ignore their food recommendations (do your own food research) this vet couldn't be better. They even offer grooming! more

Caution!!! Under New Management ??? Do Not Subject Your Pet t 1/13/2012

Dr. Cleghorn was a wonderful Vet -- our family Vet for over 20 years, treating all of our furry family members. Unfortunately, she sold her practice to VCA and retired October 2011. VCA is a corporate entity currently buying up many local veterinary practices. VCA has raised the prices; indeed they price gouge ? cough medicine purchased at VCA $32.00; exactly the same prescription filled at Walgreen?s $17.00. The VCA Vets push (sell) expensive tests and surgeries using fear tactics ? 3 office visits inside of 7 months, 3 recommendations for 3 different surgeries and lots of tests. The first time we saw one of the VCA Vets for my little dog's cough, she recommended surgery on his patella (knee); his knee wasn?t bothering him. We boarded our dog at VCA University Animal Hospital over the holidays, they had seen him a week and a half earlier and were very aware of his honk-like cough. The first thing I asked when I went to pick him up was about the cough, I was told they hadn?t ?noticed him coughing at all?. He was ? so very much worse than when he got there. He died two days later at the e Clinic -- suspected pneumonia. No one noticed? No one called us! No one treated him! Pros: null Cons: null more

Kind of care your pet deserves! 11/9/2011

The receptionists, technicians, and doctors are some of the best I've seen. They're compassionate, friendly, and helpful. Most importantly, they truly care about you and your pet, and will go above and beyond! There bather, Jan, is amazing. My pet recently came in for digestive problems and I was truely impressed with their professionalism, compassion, and their part in my pets immediate improvement. I know they care because they called several times after my appointment to check on my baby. I am so glad I have someone I can trust when my pet and I are in need. I will be a client for life. more

Great Groomer 12/31/2010

Korki and Jan make a great team! They are friendly, upbeat, and accomadating with booking appointments. We like how they pay attention to the details of grooming our bischon, like making sure the lashes are trimmed so we can see his eyes. We were referred to UVC by other bichon owners and have been going ever since. Thank you Korki for taking care of AJ! more

Rave Review & Regarding The Last Review 12/12/2010

First of all, we have used KORKI 'S grooming services for 2 years now. We have never had a more caring, honest and trustworthy groomer. She has always been so wonderful with our pets and one of them is quite old. One of my friends brings her very old yorkie here for grooming as well. He has a great deal of health issues and Korki has never been anything but caring, accomodating and so patient with him. We would never use anyone else! Now, to the person that wrote such an absurd, ranting review. If it requires a 45 minute conversation to make a grooming appointment then your pets are either very unhelathy or they have a completely paranoid owner. Clearly Korki made the wise decision to NOT provide any services to you or your pets. Perhaps you should learn to groom your own pets then you would not need to take 45 minutes of a groomer's time in order to make an appt. So, you use this vet for your pets???? Which one do you see there? I do not expect a response since you clearly state you had only been to the facility once. You posted a defensive review simply because the groomer chose to no longer provide services to you. I dont blame her!!!!! Clearly ALL of the positive reviews give a true reflection of the caring and professional grooming provided by Korki and Jan. more

UNPROFESSIONAL GROOMING/BEWARE IF YOU HAVE OLDER PETS 9/23/2010

I have never submitted a negative online review before regarding a business in my 22 years of living in Dallas nor have I ever been treated with such poor customer service by a groomer here! I have 2 12 year old White Schnauzers. One is in excellent health but the other has had some complications the past year. With that being said, I no longer vaccinate him and it's important they have a groomer that is caring and attentive to the needs of an older dog. I AM ALSO A STAY AT HOME BUSINESS OWNER WHO KNOW WHETHER MY DOGS ARE TOO SICK TO BE GROOMED KORKI!!! Winston is totally blind so I am an overprotective pet owner due to that. I took my dogs to Korki last May for the first time and they did a good job. This was my 2nd attempted grooming appointment and , since last May, Winston had some minor surgery related to his blindness. Other than that, he's in excellent health. I spoke to Korki for 45 min conveying to her that, based on what he had been through he needed some extra TLC so as not to ruin his trust in grooming since he lost his sight. I also didn't want him left at the groomer for longer than 3 hrs. I was assured by her that he would be fine and to come on Wednesdays when it wasn't busy. After that conversation, I was called later in the day to inform me that they were having an office meeting the day of my groom appt. and Winston would be kept there a little longer than planned. Well I didn't feel comfortable with that and rescheduled for a week later for the reasons I wrote. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM KORKI TELLING ME SHE WOULD NO LONGER GROOM MY DOGS FOR THE REASON THAT I HAD NOT BEEN THERE IN 4 MONTHS AND THAT THEY WOULD ONLY BE THERE UNDER 6 HOURS!!! SHE ALSO PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH TELLING ME I AGREED TO NO MORE THAN A 6 HOUR DAY THERE. ALL LIES! AND SHE TOOK IT UPON HERSELF TO DICTATE TO ME HOW I SHOULD HAVE MY DOGS GROOMED WITH A MOBILE PET GROOMER! THE MANAGER AT THE CLINIC WAS SO NICE AND UNDERSTOOD MY FRUSTRATION SO SHE HAD KORKI CALL ME. SHE WAS RUDE, KURT AND WOULD NOT GIVE A REASON ON WHY SHE WOULDN'T EVEN TAKE MY OTHER DOG OLIVER. SHE HUNG UP ON ME. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS PERSON. SHE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CARE FOR AN OLDER DOG. I WILL NEVER HAVE A GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT THIS GROOMING FACILITY! THE VET IS GREAT HOWEVER! BEWARE OF THIS GROOMING FACILITY, I CAN'T WARN YOU ALL ENOUGH!!!!! more

Best Dog Groomers ! 6/14/2010

The ladies that groom (Korki and Jan) are incredible. My dog loves going. They always give my dog the best puppy cut. He looks so handsome when I pick him up and you can tell he feels proud of how he looks. The prices are very reasonable and they really work with your schedules. They truly care for your animals also. They do not run the salon like a factory. You can tell your animal has been truly cared for while they are there. I recommend them to anyone and everyone I can. Wonderful Staff & Grooming Professionals 5/17/2010

I love the University Animal Hospital staff. Particularly Jan & Korki! I have a dog that has had 2 back surgeries and needs special and careful attention when grooming him. Friendly Fabulous Groomer 4/16/2010

All the reception area staff, the handlers, and assistants here are great! The Groomer, Korki, and her assistant are both lovely and very sweet! They always seem unrushed and ready to do whatever is needed to make sure that my poodle is happy. My poodle gets an accent bandana sometimes, and other times a cute little 'report card' telling me how her behavior was for her grooming appointment. Korki seems quite professional, and she always rings me when my pup is ready, not waiting for the end of the day if she is done sooner. A lovely experience every time! Pros: Very accommodating, gentle, positive attitude Cons: busy, so schedule ahead, it is worth it! more

Great Puppy Place 4/12/2010

Switched to this vet and groomer a few years ago. Have been very happyt with both the vet services and grooming. Groomers care about the pets and are considerate. Always call when my dog is ready. My dog are happy to go to the groomer and come out looking great. Even my grumpy older little Shih Tzu is happy even thought he hates to be groomed. The Golden Retriever loves it and looks gorgeous. Highly recommend but be sure to call in advance because they are busy and stay booked up.!!! Great! Pros: Great Vet, Great Grooming Services Cons: None more

THE BEST GROOMER! 4/1/2010

We love bringing our two dogs here! Their groomer is the best! She is so kind with the animals and always grooms them beuatifully! She understands that we do not want to leave our babies all day and is always accomadating. We are blessed to have found Korki! Only draw back now is that the secret is out! She is booking up in advance now, so you need to plan ahead but she is TOTALLY WORTH IT! Pros: Reasonably priced, Does not keep the dogs all day! Cons: She is busy, so plan ahead! more

Excellent Veterinarians and Excellent Staff! I brought my sick dog here and they were extremly helpful to me. They communicated cleary and provided propt treatment when necessary. They went above and beyond! I would recommend them to anyone! more

Be Aware!! 10/30/2009

University Animal Hospital is not a place I would take my animals. They killed my cat because they don't pay attention. I have noticed a lot of their former customers moving to the clinic I now use and their biggest complaint was the amount of medications that are prescribed for their pets. Especially when we compared notes and all of our pets had respiyory problems even if that wasn't why we brought them in to see the vet. Please choose wisely. more

THE BEST GROOMING IN DALLAS!! 11/14/2008

When only the BEST will do! We knew we had the best vet in Dallas, but now they have the best groomer! Kudos to Dr. Cleghorn for finding and acquiring such talent! We are so picky and thought we would never find another groomer we loved after our regular groomer retired last year. It can be a frustrating experience finding another one you like! Our beautiful girl has never looked so perfect! Kudos again ! more

Very nice staff 7/29/2008

The staff were very nice. One of the techs was very sweet and made my dog feel really comfortable. Everytime there wis something wrong I'm very quick to call and they are very understanding. Pros: Nice staff Cons: Felt a little rushed. more
