The VCA Hawthorn animal hospital is terrible. I would definitely recommend you bring your pet anywhere, but here. I had such a terrible experience at this vet. I have been in business for 20 years and always believe the customer should be treated well. The staff her are incompetent, rude, and do not care about the pets or their patients. Incredible service! 3/12/2009

Went way beyond necessary to take care of my mom's cat. When the cat pulled out some sutures from a recent surgery, my mom called them to tell them and explained she could not carry the cat down the stairs to bring her in. One of the vets immediately got in their car and came right over to my mom's house, along with staple gun and antibiotics. helped mom get the cat from under the bed and treated her immediately.\r \r Not many other vets would do that! more

Poor care, terrible staff - avoid at all cost! 11/12/2008

Seriously... it's not because I am sad about losing my cat. This clinic dropped the ball. They provided terrible treatment to my cat which ultimately led to his need to be put down. AVOID THIS CLINIC! Pros: It was close? Cons: missed obvious signs of issues, which led to cat needing to be put down. more
