Always get a second opinion 4/2/2011

We brought our pug to the Eye Clinic for Animals. They were very nice. We were told that he needed a conjunctival graft surgery ASAP the next day. We were told it would never heal on its own, and there was danger of fluid leakage and losing vision. The surgery would cost approx. $2000.00. We decided to wait a day longer to get a second opinion from Dr. Basher at Veterinary Specialty Hospital. After examining my pug, he said it had healed. This was 2 days after diagnosis at Eye Clinic For Animals. This shows how important it is to get a second opinion. We continued drops for 1 week, with no follow up needed with Dr. Basher. It's so scary to think my dog almost had a surgery he didn't need; not to mention the cost. more

Great, caring doctors and nurses! 5/2/2010

This clinic is amazing. They have taken such good care of our dog; we can't say enough about the doctors and the nurses. They have done so much to keep or dog seeng as long as possible. They are very reasonable in their pricing, too. more

Eye Clinic For Animals is a bad place 9/16/2009

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG THERE!\r They released my dog immediately after eye removal surgery. My dog was not even completely awake from anesthesia yet. \r Then, they would not allow me to see or talk to the vet, not after the surgery, not at post-surgery rechecks. Seeing the vet in person was a condition I however negotiated with them before I agreed to the surgery. \r They are treating both the animal and the owner in an non humane manner, at times were your loved one needs care the most more

Good at what they do 6/30/2005

The Eye Clinic for Animals is mostly for those with aging animals who may be becoming blind. I went with a friend once to check her cat, which is now blind, but thanks to their diagnosis and a small solution, they were able to prolong it for an extra few months. These guys are good at what they do, but if its a serious problem, fixing it could be pricey. more

Excellent place to bring your pets if they have eye problems. Some breeds of dogs (such as pugs) tend to be prone to eye problems and sometimes ordinary veterinarian offices aren't equipped to handle delicate issues. I found them while doing some research online. My dog had some trauma to one of his eyes when he was playing around in the backyard and although he was checked out and treated by my vet, he developed a brownish spot in the white part of that same eye. So it's really a good thing to be ableto see a vet that actually specializes in treatments of the eye to get an accurate diagnosis of the problem. more
