Best

I went to BCVH on Saturday for my dog. He had had a little skin issue for a while and I had taken an appointment with his regular vet one block up on Lincoln at VCA Marina Hospita...

Worst

These people don't seem to like animals (or people, for that matter). They treat you and your pet like dirt. Find another place that understands customer service and proper care...

I trust Bay Cities 5/3/2007

It all started with "Nestle", a German Shepard/Lab mix. My parents brought her into Bay Cities as a puppy. With the diligent care of Bay Cities we got almost 17 years out of Nestle. Dr. Milo was there fresh out of college to help Nestle be put out of her pain as well as console a father and his 19 yr. old son crying their eyes out. My Aussie Shepard "Legend", aquired in Mammoth Lakes as a puppy was cared for by Bay Cities the last 7 years of her life. She made it to 16 yrs. 9 mo. and compared to her care in Tempe, Arizona (while at college) I am very happy with the way they treated Legend. Dr. Fitzpatrick helped Legend out of her pain and as we agreed, she had a good run. Now I bring the newest in, Becker, as of now a 15 week old Shetland Sheepdog. Already he is treated like family.DO YOU THINK I TRUST THESE PEOPLE OR WHAT?YES I DO. I have been very pleased with the care Dr. Fitzpatrick, Dr Milo and Dr. Bone have provided along with Bay Cities Veterinary Hospital in general for some 30 more

Best vet in the world! 1/11/2007

Dr. Milo is simply the best. You cannot go wrong with her. She is incredibly bright and great with animals. She has the touch. Pros: Dr. Milo more

Fabulous! Love Dr. Milo and Dr. Fitzpatrick! 1/11/2007

I have been going to Bay Cities for well over 15 years and would not go anywhere else. Drs. Milo and Fitzpatrick are my favorites, but all the vets are wonderful and so is the staff. Pros: Convenient hours and they don't make you wait. more

Surprised by negative reviews 11/17/2006

I'm very surprised by the two negative reviews here. I've always found the staff to be extrememly friendly and supportive at Bay Cities Veterinary. And they don't overcharge ridiculously like VCA. I suppose any place is going to have it's share of bad experiences for various reasons. But I've been going to Bay Cities for a few years now and have found their service to be far above and beyond the call of duty. Dr. Milo is particularly great! Very caring and attentive. Pros: Very friendly, attentive staff. Dr Milo is a great doctor. more

Keep your beloved animals away from this place!!! 10/17/2006

After years of putting up with the incompetent front desk, two vets overlooked a very simple kidney infection in my dog. I had the same blood and urine results Bay Cities took and faxed to another vet's office - that vet looked at it and immediately said my dog had a kidney infection. Unfortunately, this was several months after Bay Cities said they couldn't find anything wrong and I believed them. My dog ended up dying from what could have been prevented with a simple antibiotic. Incompetent. Careless. And Dr. Bone acted put upon when I initially called to get the results of my dog's bloodwork. He needs to quit and find his passion - it's certainly NOT helping animals. PROS: Zero CONS: Absolute incompetence. more

Stay Away 10/8/2006

I agree with all the points made by the first reviewer. The first doctor I saw there made me spend $300 on things I did not need, and did not know how much things would cost until I got to the front desk. The one thing I went in for, a lump on my cat's tail, he didn't even find in a routine exam. I had to show it to him, and he brushed it off as a "fight scar". When the lump did not go away, i returned a few weeks later and they were totally rude to me. I wanted to have someone look at it and they charged me for another full exam. The second doctor was much more thorough, knew it the lump was a cyst, and took care of it. But she didn't think I needed any of the treatments I had been charged for the previous time. Then, they tried to charge me another $65 for something they did not take care of correctly the first time. The head doctor was supposed to call me to resolve the issue, but instead I keep getting bills. Not only that, but the male doctor I saw the first time would not stop looking at me innappropriately. STAY AWAY!!! more

Unhappy Employees 10/21/2005

Everytime I walk into this place, the employees seem miserable. They are not friendly, helpful, courteous or KNOWLEDGEABLE. You would think they would know what vaccines your pets should get, but they don't. The vets offer contradicting advice. Every time it is a different story. I have been going there for years, don't ask why, they don't know who I am or care who I am. I will never go back. Pros: Location Cons: Staff, Level of knowledge, Service more
