Amazing Specialty Market 11/28/2009

Family owned business with smiling employees. Ask Ricky for help with any recipe. He's also got the best wine selection at the best prices in town. I love to cook and learn about food. The guys there seem to be excited to help with any recipe. Cafe gets tight for breakfast on weekends but still sooo good. BTW- MS. Sharon doesn't work there. And the prices aren't high they just have high end products (that do cost more) but the wine prices can't be beat. Sorry to burst some peoples bubble. But over 15 years in the neighborhood they must be doing something right. Go V.Richards!!! Thanks keep it up! Pros: Neighborhood Place Cons: tight space more

GREAT BAKERY, 1/26/2008

I love V. Richards. I am about to drive over there now. At Christmas I bought a Choclate Pie that was one of the best I have ever tasted. Paid about $14 dollars for it...worth EVERY SINGLE BITE... Pros: Their homemade bakery items, convient, large selection of bread, this list could go on and on Cons: would like more comfortable seating more

Bad service, over priced! 7/27/2007

They had watch the parking lot to make sure you dont go somewhere else, they lost the service when they moved, seafood is not fresh, walk around and look at the dumpster in the rear, then go inside to eat. Pros: The door opens by itself..... Cons: The cashier, Lacrisha Banitta Wanitta Jackson more

Couldn't Live Without It! 3/15/2007

V's is the best - especially if you live in the neighborhood and visit often. The store has become the centerpiece jewel in Forest Park - in fact, before I moved from my previous residence on Southside, a huge criteria for my new residence was a location from which I could easily walk to V Richards (and back with a bottle of wine and various hard-find-cheeses)! Pros: The tarragon chicken salad rocks! Good parking, quality foods, inviting atmosphere, prices on many basic items are just as good as other stores Cons: some specialty/pre-prepared items are pricey but the quality is worth it & supporting local, small business is an imperative! more
