SO GLAD to find this store and discover it was open until 8 pm. Read the most recent review which was great, but a little concerned about the lesser reviews.I called anyways and chatted with Jeff. He put me on hold to check the inventory to make sure he had the correct charger before I drove over from Oakland. The price was appropriate. When I arrived he grabbed the charger, ensured that it worked properly, and reminded me that there was a 90 day warranty. more

I've been here multiple times for multiple things (buying chargers, getting more space for hard drives, bringing my computer back from the dead (twice), etc) and every single time, their service has been excellent. I've recommended to friends as well and they've all had similar great experiences. The manager's really helpful and knowledgeable, and will work with you so you'll have to spend minimal time waiting around. I wouldn't go anywhere else. more

They really know their stuff 6/22/2011

These guys are great and they really know their stuff. I had a virus on my computer and it infected all of my files. They were able to save most of my pictures and documents. Now my computer runs good as new and more importantly they recommended Norton Anti Virus so that this never happens to me again. more

extremely helpful 6/21/2011

Despite all the haters on here, I had a great experience. I've been lagging on getting a replacement battery for my 4 year-old G4 and after too much searching online for "the best deal" and not even knowing the batteries were a reputable brand or even reputable for generic, I decided to walk in to these guys. I spoke to Bill and he was extremely helpful and stood behind their generic brand for batteries. He assured me no one has ever come back with a problem with the product but promised a 6-month warranty. He also gave me lots of unsolicited advice about how to keep my G4 happy 'til its very last day. Which in this economy, you bet your bottom's dolla that's what I'm gonna do. more

This place is pretty good. The customer service isn't fantastic, but overall I like it. I'm an engineer, and I often need to get some obscure part of a computer. This is the only place in Berkeley that will root through their old parts for me. They found an Intel IWI4965 wireless chip for me, which is almost impossible to find as it was sold as part of a set of Gateway motherboards. They gave it to me for $15. I've been there many times since, and I can generally get what I want for a hell of a lot cheaper than other stores around, like Eid's. more

I'm surprised at all the negativity from the previous reviews. These guys were great ! I've bought three different computer systems from them over the years and they've always been helpful. I travel all the way from SF just to buy from them. In fact, I'm going back again this week to get a new laptop. Sure, they won't wait on you hand and foot all the time. (I guess some of these other people are peeved about that). But hey, talk to them about what you need and they always listen and help out. And, it beats buying some sketchy looking system from a stranger off Craigslist, (as they even offer warranties on used systems they sell). 5 out of 5 stars !!! more

I purchased a MAC a few years ago, I haven't had any problems with it, they are very helpful and answered all my questions. I highly recommend them to all that are looking for a used computer they're really great. more

I had a great experience here 3/8/2011

I had a great experience here. The screen on my expensive laptop cracked, and the tech guys at work told me it would cost $700 or more to fix it. After spending far too much time trying to decide how to replace the laptop, it occurred to me to ask Bill how much it would cost for him to fix it. He did the job for half the price. I got a great repair. Best of all, Bill called me when the replacement screen came in, I brought the laptop down and I was able to pick it up the same day, so I didn't have to worry about not having it available. Several months ago, I bought a laptop battery here, and got a good product for a good price. more

This place is great! I've gotten much-needed odd's and end's for my computer (like: a wireless card, an a/c cord for half of my battery charger). All at good prices too, I don't know why every else's reviews are so bad! more
