I find the staff at this gym the most professionel, helpful and non-intimidating. They are friendly and make you feel welcome and don't judge you if you are not the best body on the floor. They have helped me reach a goal I did not think I could reach at fifty! The training is innovative and interesting and it is fun as well as good for my body. UBF and UBS' success is due to more than the location. And, rather than worry about how much the owners may or may not make as the reviewer named catlas seems to do, realize that the reason they rent out the space is to offer even more amenities in one location. Cleanliness has never been an issue here, as their staff is required to clean the equipment all day long, several times a day. That, plus towel service, is more than you will ever get at a LA Fitnesss. The upstairs desk was removed to make room for more equipment, class schedules continue to be expanded with the availability of Studios, and the downstairs staff always says ""hi"" and welcome (and most even know your name if you stay around long enough). It is much nicer than swiping a card when you walk in. So, having been a member for years, I highly recommend it. If you are worried the owners are making too much money, or that they somehow ""lucked"" into their hard earned and successful business, then march on over to one of the national chains and give your money to a giant retailer. I belong to a couple of major chains as well as a few private clubs in the cities I frequent and I have yet to find one that compares to Urban Body Fitness in service and atmosphere (plus it is impeccably clean). It is exceptional. more

This gym is not a clean place. Don't let the anticeptic smell fool you. Staph is rampant. I know of three guys who walked out of there with it and it is disgusting. You would think for the money they coul dclean once in a while. more

I just moved to Atlanta and have checked out several gymes in the area. This gym by far is the best in the city. They have a GREAT front desk staff (Cindy is awsome) and the classes are awsome. Lot's of parking a a good neighborhood feel. more

Urban Body Fitness is, by far, the best gym I've ever been a member of. I have been in the fitness industry for 15 years, and Urban Body Fitness has everything that I desire in acheiving the results I want. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is very approachable and eager to please, and the equipment and layout is great. The classes and instructors are to be found nowhere else. i've been going to UBF for about a year now-- it's an wonderful gym. im still impressed by how different it is from the other gyms i've belonged to. the bathrooms are cleaned compulsively, the equipment is modern and there is plenty of it. they bought all new treadmills about 6 months ago, pretty spectacular machines. its also not too much of a ""scene"" -- lots of beautiful people but they're not glued to the mirrors. when i joined there was no pressure. super friendly and consistent staff, competetive prices. whoever runs this place does a bang up job. Living in the area I was impressed at the level of community involvment that they provide. I was even able to walk my dog to the gym, because they had a spot to tie him up. The staff is very personal, they knew my name by my second visit and had me set up for a free session with a personal trainer. LOVE THE GYM, best decision since moving to ATL. I love this place! A good friend recommended that I try the place out and I was hooked the minute I walked inside. The facility is kept very clean and the staff is so friendly and attentive. In fact, I liked it so much, that I have now worked there for nearly two years!! I have never enjoyed a job this much in my life. I was impressed by the dedication to high standards of customer service and satisfaction. The reasons I come back every day are the clients. We have the coolest members! COOl GYM. I've lived in VAHI for 3 years and didn't even know this place existed. It's got all the stuff that makes a great gym. Lot's of weights, cardio & classes. The place is real clean too.
