Univeristy of Texas at Dallas still has a way to go in making it a high end university, but they're getting there. They are expanding at an impressive rate; the student body is growng by leaps and bounds every year. Unfortunately, I do not feel that the university has done a very good job planning and preparing for the larger amount of students. Hopefully new plans for the future will adequately handle the increase. The professors for the most part are pretty good, with the exception of a few, who are either 1) just there for the research or 2) professionals that don't really know how to teach. Both of these hurt the learning experience for the students, and that is really unfortunate. This school is a good pathway to getting a job in Dallas though, as UTD has many ties to a large amount of businesses in the Dallas area. If the University can control the tuition and refrain from raising the price of it, it could once again be called a pretty good bargain for good education.
