On May 13, I brought my 2004 Ford Freestar Minivan into his mechanic shop to be fixed. It was diagnosed as fuel issue that required a fuel pump and fuel filter that was quoted for $740. The return time was supposed to have been 3 hour's to repair, but it took four days instead. These four days were added to our vacation with hotels and food stays that were unexpected due to the mechanical incompetence of the shop as a whole and their customer was very unprofessional. Twice he said and I quote, ""It was fixed,"" but the problem had gotten worse. When I received my van on May 16 at 6:30pm, there was noise coming from the engine and it running very rough. We immediately left Orlando, FL hoping to make it home, in hope of not adding two plus days to our unexpected stay due to his shop being closed on Sunday and opening on Monday even though the van running irregularly producing a jerking movement and louder noises from the engine than before due. Around 300mi it broke down on the side of the road in Tallassee, FL. It was later determined by another mechanic that the van was never fixed properly and there was sugar in the gas tank. The incompetence of Gilbert (Manager) and Albert (Assistant Manager) endangered five lives, 3 of which were minors, one of them being disabled, and two adults due to their inability to diagnose the problem the first time around. Beware of Universal Service Center on Turkey Lake RD in Orlando, FL. They are crooks and will not fix your vehicle, they will instead destroy it. Due to his negligence our only vehicle that could occupy all five of our family members as well as hold our son's wheelchair, we had to abandoned due to the 1,000 mile distance from home. Take your services elsewhere or you'll be devastated. more

To: City Search.com.......I must tell you the reviews you have on one of your sights FROM John, Robert, Dani, fishter.....are totally untrue, in fact one of them states you can get gas there but not repairs, and anyone who had ever used Gilbert Universal knows they are not even related to the gas station near their property......these reviews are SLANDER...my daughter is an attorney's assistant and said these are definitely SLANDER AND CAN BE PROSECUTED.....JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THERE ARE MANY, in fact 34 positive reviews at another site about Gilbert Universal, I am well qualified to speak on the subject of autos being involved with teacher of Safe Driving for 14 years and brother who is involved with Classic Cars for years, and own a 90 Lincoln Town car with 319,918 miles and 77 Lincoln Versailes with 113,000 miles and would not want anyone except Gilbert to touch them.....please respond and advise your source of information on the above slanderous comments possibly from competition.\r miraclesbd@earthlink.net more

DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE! Crooks is the only word that comes to my mind. The office staff is very unknowledgeable and inefficient, when i first arrived I filled out their paperwork and checked that I would like a written estimate and I never did receive one. The mechanic assigned to my car was Chris, wow what a scammer, he was so focused on finding things to attempt to overcharge me that he wasn't paying attention to the problem at hand. I was charged 200% over the cost of material. Just steer clear of this garage. more

DO NOT - DO NOT- DO NOT GO TO THIS SERVICE STATION FOR ANY REPAIR WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE. YOU CAN GET GAS THERE (THAT SHOULD BE OKAY) BUT DO NOT GIVE YOUR AUTOMOBILE TO THESE PEOPLE FOR REPAIR. A SIMPLE REPAIR (A THERMOSTAT) BECAME A NIGHTMARE. I HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEAR, WHEN I USED THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL, IT TOLD ME IT WAS THE THERMOSTAT. I KNEW WHAT NEED TO BE DONE TO MY CAR. I DIDN'T WANT TO DEAL WITH DRAINING THE ANTIFREEZE, REMOVING OF THE FAN SHROUD, CRAWLING UNDER, ETC.. I HAD THE FLU, JUST WANTED SOMEONE ELSE, CAPABLE AND COMPETENT, TO PERFORM SIMPLE REPAIR. THE TECHNICIAN SAID TO COME IN, THEY COULD RUN DIAGNOSTICS WHILE I WAITED. THEY AGREED IT WAS THE THERMOSTAT. SO, I LEFT THE CAR. THAT WAS 9:30 AM. WHEN I RECIEVED A CALL AT 3:45PM THAT AFTERNOON, I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW DRIVE BELT, BATTERY, POSSIBLE HEATER COILS, CATALYTIC CONVERTER OXYGEN SENSORS, AND A TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE ... 2012 MAZDA 6 W/ LESS THAN 30K MILES.... I KEEP MY CAR UP TO DATE ON MAINTENANCE. DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE THE 30 MILES TO SEMORAN CLASSIC MAZDA, THOUGHT I COULD HELP LOCAL ECONOMY AND LOCAL BUSINESS.. AS I SAID - DO NOT GO TO THESE ''PEOPLE'' FOR ANY WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE. DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR ANY ONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SHIRT, SKIRT, OR WORSE. THEY OBVIOUSLY PREY ON THE TOURISTS AND THE UNEDUCATED. more

Avoid this service station. Do not trust these guys with your property. They are corrupt. They will cheat you, lie to your face, yell at you, and whatever else they need to do to take as much of your money as they can. more
