When I opened an account at UBOC in Davis, I was suprised that the bank operated like those I remembered from when I was a child - people who work there recognize me and know me by name (I don't go in their often!), they take time answering my questions, and I don't get nickeled and dimed for each and every service. UBOC is truly a full-service bank, and they provide excellent customer service. Furthermore, UBOC takes additional security measures with your account (for example, the ABA routing number is different for electronic payments than what is listed on your checks), which gives me additional assurance regarding my account. The only complaint I have is that there aren't enough ATMs around to easily get cash.
