Best

My family LOVES Uncle Maddios. We eat there every week and especially love the Kids Art Camps on Saturdays. The food is great and we love the variety of choices.

Worst

Really Good Pizza 6/8/2010

My boyfriend and I have been frequenting Maddio's for a while and I must say that it is currently my favorite pizza place. I like the idea of choosing and seeing your toppings before they put them on. I like the fact that they have wheat crust as an option as well and I also like that their crust is not too thick or bready. The people who fix your food are always friendly and they look like they are happy which is hard to find at a lot of restaurants. Last month I treated my entire (huge) family to Maddio's for my mom's graduation and for such a large crowd, the service was still prompt and friendly, not to mention the pizza was awesome and the price did not break the bank. I love Maddio's! Pros: great pizza Cons: honestly can't think of any more

Cool concept, but that's about it 2/18/2010

When Maddio's opened at Toco Hill in Mama Fu's old space I was intrigued. Started up by a couple of Raving Brands veterans, it is apparent they are trying to take the Moe's build-your-own burrito concept and apply it to pizza. Let me take you through the Maddio's experience... First you'll traverse down the line and then order at the counter while the pizza builder (for lack of a better term) adds ingredients upon command in front of your eyes. Then you and your pie part ways while it is heated in the conveyor belt oven reminiscent of Cici's pizza (sic) buffet. So yeah, that was kind of cool...kind of different. I hate to say it, but at this point you've already experienced the highlight of Maddio's. You'll soon find out that the pie you just played such an active role in bringing to life is average at best in the end. The papery crust pretty much cancels out the novelty of the ordering experience for me. Don't get me wrong, the pizza isn't terrible, but considering that on the small stretch of N. Druid Hills between Lavista and Clairmont, it ranks third best out of three pizzerias (1. Shorty's, 2. Chris' Pizza), I just have a hard time recommending it. Move it down a couple miles to Shamrock Plaza next to Cici's and maybe then we can talk. Pros: lots of toppings to choose from Cons: the quality is just not there more

Healthy new pizza place near Emory-made to order fresh 6/17/2009

Close to Druid Hills, Brookhaven, and Emory this place has much to be admired. From the variety of sauces and toppings to 3 types of crusts including gluten free, wheat, white. The patio is a nice place to hang out while you wait and they bring everything right to you. What I love is that you can get a cheese pizza for around 5 bucks and you get 3 toppings of your choice for just $1 more. They dont break the bank while giving you pizza exactly the way you want it everytime. If you haven't heard of Maddio's pizza in Atlanta yet, you should check them out! Awesome southwest salad and gourmet dressings homemade. Yum!!! Pros: Fresh, gluten free, tons of incredients, reasonable prices Cons: ? more
