My husband's cellphone stopped working, so I went to US Cellular in Eureka to replace it, as I was the primary account holder. I purchased a new "low cost" phone for him, but he didn't like it, so I took it back. I had been assured that I had 15 days to bring the phone back, no questions asked. The sales woman immediately began high pressure tactics to sell me another phone. I explained that I just wanted to return it. She told me that if I didn't buy a new phone today I couldn't buy another one for three more months. We have been US Cellular customers for over 10 years and have spent thousands of dollars on phones and services with them. I was outraged to say the least. The woman was nasty and pushy. She explained to me that US Cellular has this policy so people don't return new phones (like I was doing!) She implied that customers were a real bother and problem for the company. Well, I didn't buy another phone from her. We bought one from EBay for a good price and no sales pressure. I believe the woman at US Cellular was a manager. I will never go into that store again, and you would be wise to stay away as well.
