A good pulled pork is scarce in Maine, and Uncle Billy's has the monopoly on this delightful dish. It's off the beaten path, a stone's throw from the Shipyard brewery, and it serves up delicious barbecue and family-style side dishes that are pretty much unbeatable. The restaurant's decor is eccentric, with Elvis pictures, countless diners' creative napkin sketches of pigs, and an old TV screen built into the wall as a window into the kitchen. The restaurant's VERY small, but you'll get great service and on nights when there's no live acoustic bluegrass or blues singer, there's a jukebox in the corner for your listening pleasure. If you're a proud meat-eater like I am, you'll enjoy Uncle Billy's.
Pros: Delicious, Inexpensive, Friendly
Cons: Tiny dining room, One large table, Wierd location
