Best

This is a great place considering it looks like a dive bar from the outside. The smoking section is, in fact, a little dive-y, but the other half is more upscale, giving you the o...

Been going to this place for years, I own a business in the neighborhood. Since it switched to this establishment, I have seen better service at a truck stop. Granted, it is a b...

Great Deck, Good Food 7/21/2002

Nice outdoor deck, removed from the traffic and bustle of NW 21st. Very casual place, and while service may not be speedy, it is friendly. This is a good place to hang out wiht a beer or glass of wine and enjoy a warm evening. Good sandwiches, simple bar & grill fare. more

Perfect on a hot summer night 6/27/2002

When I think of this place I think of their great outdoor patio, and their happy hour. The patio has been updated (upgraded) to a really cozy, intimate place where you can sit next to a small pond and hear the sound of water trickling into the pond. The happy hour is good, not great. You can get a decent burger or a salad and a beer and spend little. If you are wanting to spend a little more their portobelo mushroom sandwhich with fried onions is really good.... Try it, you most likely will come out of there have an enjoyable experience more

Great Patio - Terrible Food 6/10/2002

Went for dinner last night - my date had an avacado salad that should have been called ""bowl of avacado covered with nuts"" - I got the fetticuine alfredo with chicken. The chicken was in cube chunks - absolutely disgusting. It looked more like Alfredo Soup than what alfredo should look like. At the end, there was easily an inch of standing cream/cheese sauce in the bottom of the bowl. On top of that, it had a seafood taste - they clearly hadn't washed the saute pan well enough. If you want to go for drinks and chill, its a great place to hang out. Our frozen drinks were average - actually, the pino colada was quite tasty - the daquairi was outright nasty. Service was average - about what you'd expect. more

A very pleasant evening 6/1/2002

Our visit to the 21st Ave. Bar & Grill was on a very warm day so we took advantage of the lovely patio for dinner and a beer. It was a very pleasant evening. Our waitress was attentive and met our every request cheerfully. The food was wonderful! We were both quiet pleased with our choices. I highly recomend the Baked Avocado Salad. more

when its nice out, can't beat it 5/22/2002

Nice place, tranquil setting, molds urban brick surroundings with warm wood and trickling water. Good people, good place. more

Awesome patio 5/21/2002

This is a great place to meet for after-work drinks when it's sunny out. You'd never guess it by the storefront, but it has this amazing patio out back. It's quiet and peaceful, a little oasis on NW 21st. The food's pretty good, too. Pros: great patio more
