Purchased a pellet stove didn?t work from the start; he said he would fix it, but never did. Contacted company of stove they told me the only the dealer could take care of it, he was the only dealer for this stove line. No one else wanted to fix the stove. Come to find out that he worked for Fireside design for those who know how this company is to deal with. This could explain why the costumer service is so poor. Comes to find out that pellet stove are a big gimmick lots of work for heat and expensive, he never told me there would be a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cleaning to the stove and that why they try to sell a service contract, they know most people won?t take care of the stove, what a cash cow for them. Beware of buying any type of stove from anyone all promise the world, but in the end it does not come true. Even the best company like Harman went bankrupt and purchased by another company shows you how good these company do business. This guy named George is a big rip-off. Cons: worst person ever!!! more

I THINK TURNPIKE ACRES IS THE BEST STOVE SHOP AROUND. I HAVE BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH THE OWNER FOR OVER 5 YEARS. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. I BOUGHT 2 STOVES FROM TURNPIKE AND HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. I CAN SEE THIS BUSINESS GOT ALOT BIGGER OVER THE YEARS. I ASKED THE OWNER WHY I GET THE ANSWERING MACHINE ALL THE TIME I CALL. HE SAID THAT HE HAS A COMPANY POLICY, THAT IF HE HAS A CUSTOMER ON THE SALES FLOOR, HE DOES NOT ANSWER THE CALL OUT OF RESPECT TO HIS FLOOR CUSTOMER. I LIKE THAT!!!!!! HE SHOWES RESPECT FOR HIS CUSTOMERS. NOT MANY COMPANIES DO THIS ANY MORE. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS TOUGH TIMES FOR A BUSINESS LIKE THIS AND I APPRECIATE THE OWNERS STRAIGHT ANSWERS. HE TELLS THE TRUTH ABOUT ISSUES. I TRUST THIS COMPANY. Pros: honest / open 7 days a week / family business. Cons: phone service could be better. / more

Searching for a pellet stove this winter this place was recommended to us. Regrettably we will not be recommending it to anyone ourselves. Pros: Freindly Cons: terrib le communication, never call you, you're always calling them. more excuses than stoves in stock more

Don't trust this family's ambitious promises of warmth and coziness!! 10/17/2008

They only ""order"" stoves. They do not have them in stock. Expect to wait 6 months to 1 year (or more) for a stove. I thought I was early in July with our ""smart"" purchase of $3,800. They said we'll have it in two weeks. We kept calling every 2-3 weeks to no avail! We never got our stove and when we finally went to get our money back (3 months to the day) OCTOBER!! they basically said ?Oh well? when it comes in, we have a waiting list anyway! You want your money back we?ll have a happy customer tomorrow. Pros: Great spot for a shop Cons: When the going gets tough, this guy can't perform! more
