Trussville Animal Hospital is TOPS! 1/28/2010

Trussville Animal Hospital is the place to bring your pets. I have been doing this for a few years now and have never had a problem with their services. A few years may not seem like a lot of time to be going there, but when you have as many pets as I do, you are a frequent flyer. They have always been respectful of me and my animals. I have never been talked down to and always made to feel comfortable with them since their patience is insurmountable. I have a million questions for everything and they are ALWAYS answered to my satisfaction. I have boarded my pets there too and still, they are so eager to go back there that it makes me sad. Thanks to them I can rest assured that my babies are taken care of.\r \r Beth L. Owner of Cisko and Sascha more

HORRIBLE CLINIC, STAY AWAY. 11/7/2009

These people killed my dog. They are unhelpful, rude, and they don't care. Even their kennel attendants who are in charge of giving the dogs extra care during their stay are mean to the pets. When I got my Great Dane back after a week of boarding, he dropped 30 pounds and was NOT the same dog. He was scared. Please, if you use this clinic, switch to Dr. Russell at Deerfoot Animal Clinic! MUCH BETTER CHOICE! more

Wouldn't trust Anyone else with my babies... 7/27/2009

For over 20 years Trussville Animal Hosp. has been my vet of choice. Dr. B. is so loving and caring with my babies. She always takes the time to listen and understand my concerns. I have never had any problems or concerns about the health or saftey of my beloved pets. Would & DO HIGHLY recommend this vet. Angie, Teresa & Dr. B. are like an extension of my family. more

I wouldn't go anywhere else! 9/17/2008

When my husband and I married 16 years ago, he was using Trussville Animal Hospital as his veternarians. We have continued to take our cats, dog, and puppy to this business. When faced with the difficult decision to put my dog to sleep, they provided excellent advice. They were caring and empathetic. They grieved over the loss of my pet as if it were their own. more

To Bad, Not a Good Move 8/28/2008

What's Good For One Can be Disaster for Another: I used Trussville Animal Hospital for over ten years with my old Cocker Spaniel until his death. When I adopted my current pup I changed vets because Main Street was more convenient. That was a mistake on my part. Unfortunately my pup was diagnosed with an anal gland problem. I knew exactly what it was from my previous pet. In the past I we had administered a prescription antibiotic and exasperated the gland with great results. With my current pet, I took him to the Main Street vets expecting the same treatment. I was told he would need a $450 to $500 surgery and which included a few days at the clinic. Knowing what I knew about the problem, I got two "second opinions" and both said even if the gland had ruptured (which it had) that there is no reason to put the animal through the stress and the owner to the expense of the surgery. This is a routine problem that corrects itself and the remaining tissue from the rupture would simply atrif more

Last place I would turn for help.... 5/7/2008

They definately don't listen to you as the pet owner and talk down to you in a demeaning way. I had a dog that would go into convulsions evreytime I brought her in for a vist. I tried and tried to have the attendants schedule me and be aware I was on my way in with my dog to make the trip as quick as possible in and out. I would give the dog valium and call ahead of time but I was always made to wait in the lobby and the dog would enter seizures. i was told it was impossible for a dog to only have seizures at the vet and that I must not notice it at home. This was a house dog that never leaves anyones side 24/7 and sleeps on the bed...how could I miss a convulsing dog that is foaming at the mouth and deficating?\r \r Moved to the group out on Highway 11...they are much more helpful and get me in and out before the dog can become so stressed that a seizure might begin. They have even met my wife out at the vehicle when there might be any reason that would have prevented her emediate more
