Located in Old Towne, Riverview overlooks a willow covered island on the Rappahanock. We watched fish jumping and a variety of birdlife during dinner. The dining room is elegantly civilized, yet jacket-and-tie attire is not required. A good non-smoking diningroom is available. Jazz is piped in - piano entertainment available on weekends. Patio dinings available during warmer months.
Nightly specials included salmon, maple-glazed Memphis ribs with mashed sweet potatoes, clams baked with olives, and mussels. Properly cooked Blackened Ribeye was served over haricot vert (by request) & topped with fresh pico-de-gallo; prime rib can be served ""surf & turf"" with your choice of seafood offerings. Caesar salad is tasty & not shy in its use of garlic.
Martinis are promoted and the bartender is quite competent. A small but appropriate wine list is offered
Dinners a bit pricey: appetizers $8-$14, entrees $20-$32, but food is good and service excels.
Pros: Excellent Service, Good Food, Great View
Cons: A Bit Pricey
